You really require more information as to your hardware and graphics setting to make any sense of your problem. I would start running the sim in developers mode to see what the bottleneck is CPU or GPU? I would agree that most software is pushing hardware sales.
When I started using Microsoft Flight Sim my GPU was a RTX-2070 I had good frame rates. Now it tells me my GPU is a limiting factor.
CPU i9-9900K
GPU RTX-2070
RAM 32GB
Storrage SSD M2
USR is the biggest immersion killer?? I donāt think so⦠agree it needs to be fixed, but thereās plenty more important fixes, in my opinion.
Yep and weāve also noticed that live weather stops working after 8pm CST (central time zone) and several have reported to Asobo but I havenāt heard any update.
Still got CTD or AMD driver error after this update. 15 - 45 minutes after takeoff.
Driver version is 21.5.2 - GPU is RX 6800XT
10900k
32GB RAM
- no Azure AI ATC Voice
- no AI Traffic
- no generic vehicles/boats/planes
Error is still the same:

Ahh really, that was an issue during the BETA that was meant to be fixed.
Performance has not improved. Stutter disaster with the 787 out of JFK.The worse I have seen to this day with this aircraft.
Its like I am running my old i5 all over again. Otherwise everything else works like normal.
Had to exit and restart MSFS 12 times when it froze in a loop while downloading update to each livery of turboprop aircraft.
It would be illuminating to know what % change in FPS you consider as āmurderā.
I just did a test with a completely empty Community folder in the DA62. When I turn off the glass displays I gain approx 10%FPS. When I switch from cockpit refresh Low to High I lose approx 5%FPS. When I switch from cockpit refresh Low to Med I donāt see any change in FPS.
I then loaded the latest WT G1000 mod v0.3.7 into my Community folder and restarted the sim. I could not see any change in FPS over the stock G1000, and noticed exactly the same 10%FPS gain when switching off the glass. I did see that there was only about 2%FPS drop when switching from Low refresh to High with the WT mod.
10% drop in FPS is most definitely NOT āmurderā in my bookā¦
I think this must be universal. I was getting weird weather that didnāt match, but now that you mention the 24 hours thing, it looks like the current weather in game matches the predicted weather for tomorrow
It has been a problem for a long long time, for months now where it would load the weather in advance. Numerous times after Iāve spent hours trying to pinpoint where it went wrong in the sim and what exactly was going on with the model, the devs would eventually say it was fixed. In reality it has never been fixed.
My feedback about last today update . No issues to download the update, and to update additional itens inside Content Manager.
After 2 hours of flight with Diamond DA62 over Bahamas (Skypark Tour Rum Tasting), no issues with performance. In fact it seems that itās better.
Previously to this update I had everything in Ultra except Clouds that it was in High. As I saw now I had consistent 58 FPS with current settings I have changed also Clouds to ULTRA, with a consistent 56 FPS. Can be a placebo effect, I agree, but this is my experience now.
My specs:
I9 10900K / 3080 / 32GB
A lot of addons in Community folder (70GB), and using also LittleNavmap, Jumpseat Media Player, Volanta, Skypark, and Bushtalk Radio, everything open and running.
Until now Iām really happy with this last update, looking forward to check performance tomorrow with A320FMW (not enough time today to do that).
Same thing departing out of KSEA towards the south. I always have the game stutter and freeze for like 5 seconds at a time until Iām able to climb up a bit more in altitude. Airbus and CJ4.
Itās totally sim related as I have 64 GB of Ram, R7 3700x and and RTX2080 super. Iāve looked at my performance when it happens and my CPU is at 30%, ram at 50% and video card at around 75-80% so definitely not because of a lack of resources
This is what i am getting now while cruising and on my way to LAX to test it lol
Specs
2080TI
I9 9900K
32GB Ram
Itās way more than 10% FPS on my box. I can get you hard numbers but hereās an approximation. I spent hours testing this. I donāt know why youāre so hung up on my vernacular, but it might be fair to clarify what I mean by āmurderā. For me, itās the setting that has the largest impact on my FPS.
With Glass Cockpit Refresh Low, I get between 55-90 FPS depending on scenery, etc.
With Glass Cockpit Refresh Medium, I get between 45-60 FPS depending.
With Glass Cockpit Refresh High, I get between 25-45 FPS depending.
edit A few notes.
#1. I haveāt tried with the new update
#2. Disabling the third person HUD nets me a demonstrable +10 FPS ā so that might have the bigger impact than GCP settings.
#3. During my testing I was posting here and some people had similar results to me, while others did not.
This really be a regional thing. In general the weather at my local airport CYDQ is bang on. I often fly between there and the CYVR SEA-TAC area. Again, in general, it is usually as expected.
I did have an occasion where I got into this argument once before and the user I was ādiscussingā it with set up a flight in YDQ and his weather was different than mine. Both āLIVEā but he was connected to a European server and I was on US West. ???
Could be regionally impacted indeed.
If that was the case with the servers, surely Iād be able to just switch to the US west server and have the weather come back? Maybe itās not that simple.
All I know is it has impacted a lot of people based on all the subsequent threads Iāve participated in, whether it is a universal thing or not I donāt know. Iāve had times when people have commented saying they donāt suffer from it, when really the forecasted weather for the next morning at their location just happened to be similar enough to the current weather to not notice any discrepency.
Whoever it does impact, I just wish the devs could fix it once and for all.
Impressive list of fixes in this release!
- I had to trigger āUpdateā from the MSFS page in the store, as it didnāt fetch it from āGet updatesā, but the download and install was smooth and didnāt take long
- No settings were changed from what I noticed
- Took a flight with the TBM and really enjoyed the fixes/improvements! Great to see some turboprop love!
- Didnāt notice any issues with performance.
Looking forward to some more flying during the week, so far the update looks great, so keep up the good work!
I donāt think it would be that simple. The case I spoke of, was not resolved when he tried switching to US West. Time Zones???
I guess depending on altitude I donāt see contrails until I pass about FL290 or higher
