Just want to add WOW! these new ground fog n cloud graphics are on spot with live weather. Holy cow. Cheers to the ppl responsible for this
Much better, the clouds arenāt glued to the ground anymore, winds wind changes can still be extremely violent, like jumping 40kts at a time, just had that happen, from 60+kts to 20 back up to 60, Iāll give it the benefit of the doubt thought as Iām flying over Newfoundland, Canada and thatās quite a rural place. Still quite happy with the update so far, nothing game breaking, at least nothing that matters yet.

To be fair, hardware is only a small part of the picture. I think another sim forum requires that users have their system specs in the sig and this isnāt a bad idea, though some people go a bit crazy with it, which I donāt mind as itās quite amusing the things they list!
I agree, and all this does is confuse the ATC as I explain earlier - but it appears that we have to work around this with our imaginations or just ignore METAR and ATC, rather than requiring the MSFS team to fix it. If its too difficult, that is their problem for shutting out Hi Fi Technologies who have tons of experience with this. Everybody with a few years in flight simming knows this to be true.
So many here saying that this is perfectly useable, while they take their screenshots and fly community VFR flights without ATC or any other aviation related care at all. It is a sim for them (the journey is complete), but for the likes of us, we have to wait some more years for aviation related basics.
Unable to activate or use live weather. Itās broken since the last release. Iāve updated and just tried on the new release.

No issues here with installing the update:
- Emptied community folder
- Updated MSFS in Store
- Opened MSFS - Update ran approx 4 minutes
- Deleted and disabled rolling cache
- Re-enabled rolling cache
- Ran the two updates from Content Manager
All my settings were still the same, loaded a C172 at EGHH no issues.
Closed MSFS and put the content of my community folder back and ran FlyByWire Installer which installed an updated for A320NX development version.
Loaded up MSFS and a flight using the FBW A320, the flight took 15 minutes or so to load.
Came out of the flight and loaded the flight again using the FBW A320, took around a minute to load.
Just got to try a flight now, waiting for some spare time.
You donāt need to empty the community folder. Just rename it and create an empty one for the first launch, then reverse.
Thanks for the advice.
Still freezes for me. Just activate freelook with the center mouse button click. Fly for a few seconds then switch to Next Pilot Position using a hat switch. Instant freeze requiring the Windows Task Manager to kill the simulator.
100% agree ⦠![]()
Sorry to see that my friend.I use xbox gamepad (on pc )and now is fine
Wow, only two updates from the Content Manager? I had in the neighborhood of 35. Looked like a lot of airports and airplanes received updates. I wonder why the difference between users?
Everything is āgravyā with my new update. Re-named the community folder and the update went smoothly and the simulator behaves with no CTD so far.
Apart from a few overlapping airport objectsā¦
I think the pilot of this aircraft should have seen an optician. Such irony!
Charles.
How do you check if the update has installed correctly? Iām getting very high wind readings in my aircraft, was this not supposed to be fixed? Iām getting 52kt readings at 15000ft which is definitely not correct.
The only two updates in the Content Manager were for the Deluxe Upgrade and Premium Upgrade.
Not sure if I should be worried now
52 knots (or higher) at 15,000 feet is definitely possible - especially in the winter. This is the upper wind forecast over KBNA (Nashville, TN) this morning⦠almost 80 knots at 15,000 feet.
Yep, I had both of those at about 2ish gigs apiece. Then I had around 33 more smaller updates for various things. I didnāt watch them all but I remember seeing the Bonanza and many livery updates rolling by, along with some airports Iāve never been to. Iād say, if you look at the Content Manager and everything says āup to dateā you should be good.
i just updated to the version 1.21.18.0 and low and behold i cant even fly a flight ,i cant make a flight up on the globe i just pick a place to fly from and fly to click fly and all i get is the blue line to the end and stop and thatās it the new update as rendered my sim useless once again
For me this update has been a great improvement overall. The weather looks outstanding now, much improved. However, I still notice the altimeter is still broken at great heights, BUT I can now at least fly higher without being blunt noticeably and unnaturally forcibly pushed back towards the ground when flying above 45k feet up. Its still far from perfect and does not yet feel very natural, but flying higher than 45k seems MUCH improved over what we had prior to this update. The hud in the TMS F22 Raptor is again blanked out after this update too I noticed. So far, this seems to have been a successful patch to the game, I really hope it keeps getting improved as time goes on. Thank you dev team!!!
