I agree. It’s all very well showing off beautiful screenshots all time, but some of us are not quite so shallow, and need to see some concrete acknowledgement and fixing of ATC, traffic, disappearing AI, etc. I still have my review as a thumbs up on Steam, but I will have to change it to negative if I don’t see things improving or some kind of roadmap for improvement.
As it stands the AI and ATC is still worse than FSX, and that is not something that can be glossed over.
While @PrisonedDock9 could have been a bit more gentle

I am enjoying this product. Granted, I just fly the Cesna and do not make too many demands on features that do not work. However, I see steady progress by the developers. The last patch improved my performance. Here’s a thought: suppose it takes another 3-4 months for the major bugs to be fixed. Would you rather that the product had been held back until then? I am committed to enjoying the product for at least that long. I am glad I got to enjoy the product in its current state in the meantime.
So, has this update been called back? I don’t see any update on the main MSFS page, and I haven’t started my Flight Sim since this update came out. I don’t want to have it update at this point, not until the bugs are worked out, at least. It looks like it’s stopped being pushed. Can anyone confirm?
The update starts from the MS Store (if bought from MS Store) or starts from the XBOX app. Those 2 will download a small installer that hooks into the MSFS startup.
I would probably shelf the game until the 24th. Random electrical issues across all aircraft, and the inability to change sensitivity on joysticks has made me put the game down.
Has anyone else found that some of the default GA aircraft seem ridiculously underpowered. Leaving aside my shortcomings in airmanship {of which there are many}, my flights in Bonanza and DA40 have been a constant battle just to stop them falling out of the sky. These are flights that start in the air and maybe thats got something to do with it. We had something like this problem when we were Beta testing but for me, at least, it wen away.
Thanks, but in both scenerios I am thinkiing of I was at low altitude so didnt have need to lean. Mind you, saying that if the flight starts in the air then the program might need leaning out cos the engine would already be warm if in the air. hmmm. Will give it to go.
On the matter of performance, I noticed a huge difference between 3*** X 2*** and the next down., 2500x1600. Personally I dont really know the difference visually but I’m old, young eyes might
Lol - I won’t, I’m on a very low income, and spent the whole of my years savings on the game - Not a penny left over for any mods, aircraft or DLCs.
It’s a shame, as I at least expected a free helicopter and glider … Ah well …
The forum is the place for discussing problems, sure. But all those who are talking of MSFS as being no good or mediocre, etc: do any of you remember what FSX was like on release? Or MS2004? What about Flight or Flight Sim World? This simulator is quite simply the most astonishing capable, visually stunning and technically, aerodynamically able, that there has ever been. Flight simulators are not like just about any other digital ‘game’, and they always, always, always go through periods like this. If there are things that are wrong, and there are, the best thing to do is to put it up on the forum and wait, and try not to ■■■■ off the developers so much they don’t think it’s worth the money communicating with the community any more. Cool heads now boys and girls.
