You should use live weather, may not be perfect but its near accurate, for me at least
Things obviously changed. These patches are time limited. So they release on the date with whatever updates are good to go unless there is a material issue like 2 weeks ago. Presumably that improvement wasn’t ready for this one

That COULD be a problem if you are tryign to update within FS before steam updates!
If i know there is an update, i first start Steam, and do the update there, before launching! Right now i am still on the older patch as i am on a flight, but when its over, I will shutdown the sim, restart the computer, then start steam, update, before starting the sim again. I have never had an issue doign it this way.
Does no lightning in clear skies also mean no lightning in live weather with mostly clear Skies?

It may be in a later update. It’s probably in the backlog. As for cpu performance it’s not going to get much better.

This is Agile development. Obviously they had intended to release this, but probably it didnt pass QA, or caused some other issues, so rather than pushing it out and eveyone complaining about a broken patch, they held it back for further work… causing others to complain instead 
But yeah this is what happens when you are so close to the development “latest” that agile does, sometimes on complex projects some thingsa have to be delayed.

– 356 would like an ILS 24 approach
– static

– N23356, please acknowledge
– You know that it’s night and heavy IFR conditions, right?

– And 06 is closed since 2006?
– static intensifies
– Okaay, I’ll take visual 06
– Hehehe, good luck, contact tower on 118.85 so we know when assemble for laughing at your crash

I just went throught a whole process to make it work:
I reset the app through the app menu in windows.
I then had an error stating: Access to the content servers is currently unavailable
I then googled that and followed the procedure described here: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016892819-Access-to-the-content-servers-is-currently-unavailable-error-message
All is working again now
All buttons and switches are working with the MB-339 again!

I canceled and restarted. It then loaded and unzipped 16GB and then update was ok
These are clearly server problems that MS has and not only with the updat. partly also when streaming landscapes.
maybe MS should update his server and not just update the sim.
