I’m not sure what is causing your problem as I have the Store version and it found the updates without any problem. Mine is flying as good as it did before but London looks good in parts but flat as a pancake in others, like the photogrammetry isn’t there for large areas without key buildings. I’m just trying a complete reboot and I’ll disable the Orbx London Highlights pack and see what it is like.
I didn’t get a chance to check that with the cloud cover. Will do a lot of flying over the area tomorrow and see what I see. First glance, the terrain around Liverpool up to CRZ looked significantly better and the terrain coming in northwest of London looked fabulous. I saw numerous stadiums and the coloring looked more accurate. Once I hit the PG around London, it really lit up in the shadows. I mean, I know PG it makes things kinda look like armageddon, but the number of structures jutting upwards and seeing what looked like a really busy city below was 300% better than the auto gen before.
As far as I can tell, “Checking for Updates” does not check for a new FS update. It checks to see if the rest of the data for the currently installed version is downloaded or not. You must first get the MS Store to download the new launcher/core version code and THEN the “Checking for updates” FS screen will offer to download the 21GB or whatever is needed to update all the data components that go with it.
You can restart FS until you’re blue in the face but I don’t think that will ever update it until the MS Store update gets downloaded/installed (which may happen eventually automagically if you’re lucky).
So MS Store, …Downloads and Updates, Get Updates.
Steam users will need the equivalent process to be done through the Steam client instead of the MS Store.

Looks like taxiway lights/posts are all over the runways at addon payware airports. They weren’t there before the update. LVFR, FSDT, FT, they all have the bug.
Well i updated then got the black non startup screen.
so uninstalled
reinstalled and it does the small download then you click play and black screen again.
cant get anywhere _yes i did the audio switch and still nada!
Was fine before update and i have no community folder at all as i uninstalled
Ruh roh! That sucks…I have a LOT of 3rd party from FSDT, FlightBeam, JetStream, FlyTampa, LVFR, Orbx, JustSim, Aerosoft, and others…that’s a lot of updates but I guess they’ll get them sorted.
Yeah I noticed something similar, a blue halo which was especially visible while in the Pitts Special cockpit

XBox Controller settings/sensitivity destroyed by another update. Ugh.
Extremely disappointed that photogrammetry only covers central London - was hoping, like in almost all other large US cities which have photogrammetry, where it covers the entire city - that we’d have the same with London - it doesn’t even extend to A406 north circular road - it only goes up as far as Islington to the north. Such a shame. Anyone else got any thoughts on this?

Everyrhing works fine for the moment.
Tested coast glitching, much more better than before, I I think 90% issue solved.
Clouds pixels seems to be done as well.

Now testing with new update of custom FBW A32NX from LECO ( payware scenery) to LFPO by jetstream.
Mine did that so I stopped it. Shut MSFS and restarted. It picked up where it had left off and went heaps faster. Might be worth trying.

Not sure if old bug new bug my bug our bug their bug…taking off out of EGLC i panned left with the mouse, no anomalies spotted but when i stopped panning the below issue arose, panned again and they disappear, anyone else get these ? Its the circled bits LOL
Upgrade downloads still cooking our GPUs I see. Will this ever be fixed?

I think the new PG is better tbh
Got some problems tonight, photometry generally looks really good but performance has suffered…sim is pausing momentarily every 4 or 5 seconds, not sure why as I have gone into the graphics and data settings to adjust things but doesn’t seem to make any difference. Might put it down to servers being overloaded but I’m not sure that that would cause local issue on my computer and all worked fine before the update…could be that I’ve not disable the ORBX London scenery pack properly but not sure it was cause issue flying elsewhere…ho hum
