Hello community, I am having a weird problem with all Cessnas and some other propeller airplanes. Everytime I start a plane in manual mode the displays come on but disapear / go black after a few seconds. When switching to KI mode everything works fine. Any suggestions what goes wrong?

If you hadn’t said they go off after a few seconds I would have guessed you have not turn on the alternator, and the batteries have run flat.
Can you try, or confirm, that you have the same issue with no Community mods installed?
KI mode? Do you mean AI?

Move your Community folder to your desktop and try again. It sounds like you might have a mod conflicting with the displays.
Or just rename the folder, which forces the sim to create a new, empty one. Or use a mod manager to unlink the addons.
Are you using a peripheral such as honeycomb alpha by any chance, with an ignition key on it? I had this problem as well with the black screens, and it turned out I turned the key all the way to Start and then let it sit on Start instead of moving it back one slot. It’s like you are constantly trying to start the engine while it already started, and that gives trouble with the electronics in the plane.
Thanks for your response hobanagerik, yes I can confirm that the displays go off also with the standard cessna planes, by KI I mean AI.
Thank you tclayton2k for your response, I have followed your instructions and renamed the community folder, apparently, the standard plane displays stay on so far. Thank u all for your input.
Interesting, so perhaps one of your mods was doing this? A bad interaction with something, or an outdated mod working with a newer sim version?
Well, since MSFS created a new community folder after renaming the old one, I may have to copy my mod planes one after one to find out which one causes the problem.

It’s probably not the planes themselves, but mods for them. I would copy everything back except avionics mods, and probably liveries as well. If that all works fine, start to narrow it down further.
Instead of reinstalling the WorkingTitle mods you already have, make sure you grab the latest versions, as there were known “black screen” symptoms with one of their mods version from two or three months ago.
Personally, I only use their G3000 and G3X mods. Asobo activated the OBS function in the stock G1000, which to me is more important than the extra systems pages in the modified version.

Hi guys, I am still experiencing the problems with the avionics displays. I have followed the suggestion to eliminate / rename the community folder, the problem appears only with the asobo prop planes, e.g. the Beechcraft King Air 350i and all Cessnas. The jets work fine so far. the King air 350i does also not turn on when flying in AI mode, flaps don`t work either but the gear works. On the the Cessnas nothing of above works, interstingly, only in AI mode everything is working. Is anybody experiencing similar problems? It is kind of frustating by now, when flying X-Plane 11 using the same gear (TCA Airbus Sidestick and Quadrant) there is no problem whatsoever.
