It is peculiar when “sim Rate”, is activated you can’t tell what rate you are at…it somehow does not step down with the same number of times you step up. Perhaps it can display your current sim rate multiplier or even be turned off all together by hitting the sim rate activate button again. Toggling it on or off.
Workaround: Decrease rate to minimum by pressing Reduce Sim Rate bound key 5 times ( 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 8.0), then press Increase sim Rate 2 times and you are back to 1:1 time.
But yea, changing the sim rate should tell you what the current multiplier is.

Yes, we should have the option to show the current “Sim Rate”. Maybe the Devs will add this in a future patch. I hope so 
In the meantime check the clock to see the ‘sim rate’.
