Yes did all that.
Just don’t see any difference at all.

I just tried this DLSS 4 Preset J thingy in MSFS 2020 on my beloved Concorde with its tiny instruments.
At first I thought I hadn’t switched to DLSS properly as my instruments were just way too clear, but they really were. I had to crank it down to DLSS Performance before I could see any noticeable clarity degradation, and that was without touching the render resolution which was sitting at 3100x3xxx.
DLSS actually being clear in VR - what kind of trickery is this? ![]()
Yep, this is real ![]()
I have applied it to both 2020 and 24. Even had to turn shaprness down (Fidelity FX) as it was TOO sharp now haha.
Amazing what software can do ![]()
Now we just need Asobo to sort out THEIR software…
I think nVidia is making a strategic mistake by letting us non-5000 peeps have access to DLSS 4 if it is really this good, especially for those of us on 4000 series cards previously using TAA and now DLSS is actually viable means a 5000-series like performance upgrade for free. Why would I bother upgrading from a 4090 to a 5090 if that’s the case?
Shhhhh ![]()
5090= 10 + fps. 200 USD per frame.
Hey man, fix your tool.. su1 beta is not compatible
JK.
I agree about dlss 4 availability for the 2, 3 and 4000 series but they know their market better than us. So we might ve wrong.
Wow, at least now with dlss 4 voodo magic, vr with taa is history and no longer worth mentioning ![]()
Yes it is. Look harder ![]()
I’m doing a normal flight in MSFS 2020 right now with DLSS Quality Preset J and IMO it looks better than full fat TAA, so well done nVidia.
I did try the 4800x5xxx DLSS Balanced Preset J trick in MSFS 2024 and ended up with worse performance and nearly all my 24GB VRAM used so something is not quite right there. Hopefully, the proper DLSS 4 nVidia driver due later this week will sort that out.
I’m confident that the official driver will fix this.
I’ve installed the new driver 571.96, exchanged the DLLs in both sims and did some testing. I found out that using that new driver there is no need to activate Profile J as it is the default anyway (having it on Preset J or not made not a difference to me).

I have been on preset J DLAA for a couple of days now and in the day time IQ is better than TAA, however at night some text on non-floodlit panels is quite poor quality compared to TAA but everything else is pretty good. Overall, I think I’ll be sticking with DLAA in 2020 from now on (no need for DLSS as I am very rarely GPU limited).
10 minutes and I don’t see any new driver… Maybe .96 is the new one?
What I see is a new Nvidia App version.

Strange the latest one i have seen was 572.16.
Maybe that one has also the app. in it.
I see but it wasn’t showing up on their website.
Officialy there is no release yet, because on there website there are no new drivers and also it is not possible to get the drivers of the 5000 series.
The drivers from the topic I created are official NVIDIA drivers.
When i install that driver I still miss the official DLSS 4.0 dll files.
When i use the dll files i have downloaded and install them with the Nvidia profile inspector then the 3 DLSS options in the program settings menu are greyed out.
I have also no performance gain and a lot of distortion and ghosting in MSFS2024.
