DLSS Main Thread - Feedback and Tips - discussion

My guess is that game must be combatible with DLSS 5 neural rendering, so there would be options in settings (in game). If game is not combatible, you need to use reshade addon and we MSFS users are allready ready for it. Frame generation allready works and things are getting better and better with the addon updates.

NVIDIA just posted a video: DLSS 5: Introducing 3D-Guided Neural Rendering

hello, where can I find the DLSS 5 files for Store version not steam version

The links are in the guidelines given in this thread. It depends on your hardware and the game which files you need exactly.

Thanks but I can’t use it with Store version , it’s Blocked with rules

Select the folder (Content), not the .exe
image

perfect thanks

how can I configure this?

YW

I don’t use “DLSS 5 mod”, so please wait for someone else to provide you with guidance on how to configure it.

@GimbalAxis thanks for posting the DLSS 5 video. My take home is that game developers have a LOT of authority over how NR plays with their game’s output. Without the developers actively determining how, when, where, and how much their game will deploy NR, it stands to reason that we may not see much difference until they sign on and update the game for DLSS 5 NR. Thoughts anyone?

Same; definitely not worth the headache just for better copilot faces.

The latest shortfuse renodx file made the DLSS 5 mod compatible with DLSS Frame Generation on MSFS 2024, but from what I’ve tested, it’s not working fully.

Up to 2x, DLSS FG is working correctly. But if you select 3x, 4x, 5x, or 6x, the fps barely increases beyond 2x, with a considerable increase in latency.

if you see the many dlss 5 msfs 2024 photos, you can easily see its NOT just a face swap…its so much more than that

Might be a good idea to split this thread off to dlss4.5 and dlss5

I Can’t stop Laughing! :))) THIS IS TOO MUCH!!! JEYSUZ! (Nvidia exposed, you know, geometry, jk) :)))

His Exposure is at -0.9 i think. More exposure = Less pronounced dlss5 effects

Off - Pass count=2 130fps

On - Pass count=2 41fps

DLSS version 310.8 is now available.

Isn’t that the NR one?

Yes, that’s the one — the new Neural Rendering build. I tried it in MSFS and it has made a massive difference to the lighting, PG, avatar detail and performance for me.

Did you try with Reshade?
