I am using rtx 3080 as well and I recently update my graphic driver to 610.47. When I go into the anti aliasing setting on msfs2024. The dlss performance option has gone. Only taa and Amd fsr is available. Do you have this issue?

The 3080 supports DLSS fine. Some potential things to look at off the top of my head (still hungover) ![]()
-
Toggle Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling off → restart → on → restart. Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Change default graphics settings. The off/on reboot cycle is what fixes it.
-
If that fails, launch MSFS from the NVIDIA App (Graphics tab → select game → Play) to force the DLSS profile to reattach.
-
Still broken? Clean reinstall 610.47 with DDU (uninstall in safe mode, reinstall fresh).
-
Last resort: roll back to the previous driver — guaranteed fix until the next release.
sorry. i misunderstood. if you use TAA, FSR3 FG is the easiest option especially with a 3xxx card. There are others workarounds noted all over the forum. Also use DLSS Swapper to ensure you are running DLSS v310.6 with preset K as the DLSS preset. Ensure FSR 3.1 Direct x12 is running V3.1.4 in the swapper as well. then go to Nvidia app and make the same changes under MSFS2024 global settings. again, discussed all over the forum. Good luck!
via MSFS settings
So, how is this helpful for msfs 2020/2024 in VR? Just asking.
Currently it is not at all as neither 2020 nor 2024 uses the DLSS RR lib. Now if you have other games that use it then it will be useful.
Do I expect Asobo to use the RR lib? No, not in 2024.
Initially, it will only be available for 27 video games.
Hopefully, it will be added to other titles later, including MSFS 2024.
It would be good to hear the developers’ opinions.
Can I just confirm. I have used DLSS swapper and NVPI in the past but during recent driver updates decided to just opt for installing the Nvidia App. I always use DDU to clear everything and only install the driver and on this occasion the Nvidia app as well. Should I just leave DLSS swapper alone now and leave the Nividia app how it is? Should I install anything else during the install process for the Nvidia drivers? I have a 5090 and a 9950x3d.
Since NVIDIA added DLSS Override to the NVIDIA app, DLSS Swapper has become largely unnecessary. DLSS Swapper still makes sense if you’re not using the NVIDIA app and prefer to manage things through the NVIDIA Control Panel (NCP) or NVIDIA Profile Inspector instead.
NVIDIA driver, PhysX and NVIDIA app.
Why PhysX? I understood its largely redundant and only necessary for legacy games.
This is still used on many modern games, so I think you should install it. There is no downside imho. I also install the nvidia HD Audio drivers and never have had any issues with these. I understand that some users have problens with these, so up to you. They are easy to uninstall later using DDU if they give you any issues. Cheers,
I guess I’m way behind the curve, having taken a year-long break from MSFS between the original and MSFS 2024, which I’m just now installing. Does the Nvidia app now install the latest versions of the DLSS and FSR files in both versions of Flight Simulator?
Does Nvidia release a new version of its App each time it releases new versions of the DLSS files? Or is there a mechanism in the App to update the DLSS files without updating the Nvidia App?
MSFS 2024 still installs DLSS v310.1 and FSR 3.1 (which are fairly old now).
The NVIDIA App will allow you to Override, globally or per game. It does this at the driver level (not changing the DLLs installed with MSFS).
Or, you can use DLSS Swapper which “swaps” the installed DLL file in the MSFS directory with newer versions, 310.6 and 3.1.4 respectively. (Note whenever there is an update to MSFS, the update reverts the DLSS files to the original, so you would open the Swapper app to ‘swap’ again after the update).
The simplest way is to just use the NVIDIA App, and when you click on DLSS Override - Model Presets, just select “Recommended” and you should be good to go. (although, I think the NVIDIA override is currently DLSS v310.5 instead of .6 but I’d have to check).
Regardless - only use 1 of the above methods, not both. If you use Swapper, don’t override in the NVIDIA App, and vice versa.
Default MSFS:
DLSS Swapper newest versions (note DLSS and DLSS FG Preset “Recommended” settings)
Thanks, so not required for MSFS and agree the HDMI audio driver works well for my setup.
