After the storage size was cut in half, do I have to reinstall it. If so, how? I use steam
MSFS2020 initial install was 170G
The patch can knock it down to 83G

No, the reduction is only on the “download size” They improved on the compression algorithm that allows you to download from 170 G before, to only 83 G… But when you install it and the packages are unpacked. They’re both taking the same space in your drive.

They have not made the game any smaller, only the initial download, after you install the updates and contents it is the same size.
