Of course, every company has an advertising strategy and showing previews of upcoming products is a form of advertising. But sometimes the time gap between the preview and the sale of the product becomes so long that customers forget what needs to be delivered in the future, and lose their interest in the product! What is your opinion on msfs2020, the third party products Preview such as aircraft, tools, scenery, etc.?
I think there should be a “trial” time. Try before you buy.
yes, different companies have different strategies. In the freeware world that’s fair enough, as in “LOOK what we are working on.” In the PAYWARE world it can be hype-annoying as in “LOOK what we are planning on releasing in 2023.!!!”
This seems a nice idea but I think it won’t work in the market. Suppose you would download Singapore city points of interest.. big package.. install it, then it would deactivate itself after say.. 2 weeks. So, you’ve been 3-4 days flying around that Singapore scenery, made some loopings, dived under bridges.. took your screenshots.. and then you proceeded with the same, around Japan POI’s or somewhere in Europe.. and you forget everything about Singapore ! The addin deactivates itself 10 days later and simply disappears, you forget all about it. The planet is big, the addon is never payed for. It’s like hiring a film for free.
Arguing with 3rd party consent reviews in MSFS is like reading the Software License Agreement.
.
In the end, you have to ignore everything and click “I agree”.
.
Personally, I wish they had a special area under “Community” for EVERYTHING relating to ADDONS.
It is so difficult following a thread only to find the problem “may” be related to 3rd party ADDONS.
.
I wish there was a place to have discussions concerning the “Core” sim without having to wade through submissions that might include failures because their community folder had 300 addon parts.
A discussion area showcasing problems within the “Pure Core” sim would be nice.
You mean a third party dedicated area, like this…?
Or a bug reporting are that is dedicated to the “core” sim, like this…?
Point 1: Yes
Point 2: No, area not meant for discussions.
I really have to wonder why it is so hard to find these sections?
I guess most people just go to the grocery store and wander around the produce section trying to find wieners, until some one comes along and directs them to the meat department.
I would have thought the big picture of a cow over the coolers would have been a dead give away. Who new?
