I disagree entirely. I mainly fly the WT CJ4 and A320NX on Vatsim in VR. It does not get more immersive than that. Flying at 45,000 ft with live ATC, a busy controlled airspace, with live Charts trying to stick to your airspeed restrictions and altitude constraints is about as good as it gets for me. GA is great but I like high intensity situations and seeing other planes fly procedures more.
