Do you like ultra wide monitors for MSFS?

Thanks. Great setup. For me, 3440 x 1440 34" would be a big deal.

I have a Samsung 49" CHG90 set to 32:9. The distortion at the edges is only challenging when doing a traffic pattern and I use the side view to see when to turn from base to final. Ultimately, I need to pan to the left or right because it’s really hard to judge distances when things are stretched.

I’m playing MSFS on 3440x1440 on my new Xiaomi Mi 34". The experience is absolutely stunning and there’s no way I’m going back to common aspect ratios.

R5 3600X, RTX 3080 and 32GB of RAM here.

Great shots. Thanks.

I’m using the Samsung Odyssey G9 - 49 inch, R1000 curve and 5120 * 1440 pixels. There’s no way I’m ever going back to a smaller screen…

I picked up an Asus 32" 2560X1440 and 1440 is a nice improvement over 1080p. To me, ultra-wide was a bit beyond my needs and budget.

Do you have any pictures from the cockpit with the View set to Landing?

1440p is a big improvement and I’m still not sure— maybe 16:9 aspect ratio is still the way to go. Enjoy your monitor!

At the moment I only have a single screenshot, it’s not very close:

I’m using 3440 x 1440 and it is great.

The only thing I could possibly add to this is think about a curved monitor.

I have flat and curved monitors (3440x1440), the curved monitor adds a lot more immersion but might not be as good as a flat one for multi-monitor setups.

Thanks. I have the Acer Predator 34" 3440 x 1440 with a slight curve, very nice indeed.
