I’m currently using Carenado aircrafts mostly, PA44, Waco and M20R. PA44 has a bug in the HSI and it is not functional.
Definitely would have been kicking yourself!

@Splash3990, Carenado put out a patch last week that fixes the HSI. But notwithstanding that, I can’t imagine why you would describe it as “not functional” even with the HSI bug.
HSI is not functional, that was I mean. And patch from Carenado did not solve the problem when you have WACO installed too. I’ve just solved by removing a file in the FS2020 installation.
Go all the way or go home!
@Splash3990, wait, so you’re saying that installing the Waco (which looks fun, but not enough for me to open the wallet) rebroke the PA44? How is that possible?
Baron G58 is my favourite aircraft so far, so I have to say YES!
I am only disappointed by the fact that the premium/deluxe models get very small attention by the devs. The bigger and smaller issues where adressed here again and again and again and nobody cares.
And the community cant help because the files are locked.
This is not the best way to treat premium buyers imho.
Apparently that’s the situation, but it is easy solved by removing one file and let FS 2020 regenere it:

Please don’t get me wrong, this is my favorite plane, almost 10h of flight already.
Yeah you get some nice GA planes like the Baron and it’s even better with mods.
What mods you mean?
Google is your friend.
For me it is definitely worth it.
I am a beginner to flight sim and love all the additional aircrafts.
There is no need for more depth for people like me.
I am satisfied
Oh come on… google will point you to FSX and 100s of gaming websites that pay more a month than I earn a year to be on the first site of a google search just to throw a cluster bomb of advertising on you… why not just share it when it‘s good?
But I think you know some good mod? I didn’t succeeded to find. You can say at least a name of mod you use. Unless you meant G1000 mod.
Currently, I wish I hadn’t spent £120 on the Premium version, as I have got very little value from it due to the terrible crashes and performance. However, I hope that I will eventually get value from it, but will feel cheated when I see the game being offered at a discount. I have learned my lesson though, I will never again purchase software up front.
Well, I’m not sure I understand that, but then again, it’s 6:45AM, I literally just woke up, and my brain is barely functioning above the “Dude, your own name is Kevin” level, so that’s understandable. I also self-modify one of the config files to make sure on a cold and dark startup it begins life with the fuel selectors already set to on, so I’m used to having to manually delete and reinstall the whole b1rd, plus redo my changes frequently, anyway.
So, as long as it works, at the end of the day all is well. It’s one of my favorite planes, too, and I’ve got way more than 10h in her, but then again due to my disability, I’ve got really nothing else to do than sit here and fly MSFS all day and all night lol…
All I know is, my HSI works, I had to manually delete the entire directory tree that contained the aircraft, and have it reinstalled by FS, and redo my config file changes and all was right with the world.
Now, having concluded my business here, I should probably wait until my brain is a little above caveman status until I start flying, but I probably won’t lol…
Have fun, and let me know if you want to know how to make those config changes, knowing what you know now…
I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a airliner that doesn’t bug out with the avionics for long haul flights? I spend a lot of my time working on school work for my degree and fly long hauls. So i just study while I go on cross country and international flights. But the avionics shutting off has been a huge problem. It is not longer freezing on me after i re-downloaded but I am not really wanting to pay for the premium at this point because my disappointment on how the aircraft in msfsx were so much better even the older versions still. I want to purchase it but if nothing works right id rather just stick with my free version. any input would be helpful.
My 2 cents:
Despite it being a year after release, and with the simulator in the current status ,I see no reason to have anything beyond the basic version.
Microsoft and Asobo still have a long way to go to bring this simulator anywhere near its full potential.
And YES, I do believe in it’s potential. But in what timeline remains to be seen.
If your obsessed with study level airliners and working though flows and procedures and detest GA as it is full of filthy casuals who are not "real " simmers of course it is a waste of money.
For me though it is worth it, even though I have never loaded the 787 (even once just to look at the cockpit}.
Personal assessment:
Deluxe:
I fly the Beechcraft Baron G58 and the Steam Gauge Cessna 172 Skyhawk a lot. The G58 is great in a Neofly career. The Steam 172 alone is worth the cost of the whole package.
Premium:
The Cessna Citation Longitude with the freeware improvement mod gets plenty of use, I prefer it to the CJ4 which is fiddly. I occasionally fly the Cirrus SR22. The Pipistrel Virus SW121 is a bit of an unsung hero and hidden gem, great cockpit views, good performance and surprisingly easy to fly. All up, also worth the money.
All of the above is “worth it for me” . Clearly if you fly all 10 planes regularly they are a bargain as just one payware plane (albeit hopefully more detailed) can cost more by itself then all ten, however if instead you never fly any of them, it is in your particular case a total waste of money. Depends on the user.
Honestly it depends on what your mission objective is. If you just want to have fun and casually fly some planes around without caring about in-depth flight systems, then I think the extra planes are fantastic. If you’re more into high fidelity aircraft then I’d stay away from it, although the 787 has improved drastically with the Heavy Mod. I upgraded to Premium Deluxe for the SR22 and 787, and for the type of flying I do I love it (although I do also have the Aerosoft CRJ series, which is pretty high fidelity if you ask me).
