Since the release of FS 4 where you could design to a point an airplane such as the 737 and even a mock up of the 747. I was really happy that FS 6 included the B737. and in every version of FS up until 2020, for which I hope they will release one soon maybe within the year? Since FS6 they have included the 737 in every version at least one version or another.
Just like in FSX there were many folks out there that made the 737 just a simple 737. The air traffic data will simulate “most if not all” of the airplanes charting the world at any given moment. so at least a basic looking model of a 737 has to be in there somewhere that panel makers could make a panel for. then maybe at a later date improve on the model.
I’m not talking about the folks at PMDG or other payware versions that are study level. but a simple airplane like the default planes in here now.
FSX had just about any plane you could imagine and more so. There is a program out there now that can convert FSX planes into 2020 but the panels dont work. Why couldn’t some one take the gauges from 2020 and edit the panel so it would work in 2020? Even others to jump on board and make airports change existing landscapes and even ATC. So why no takers on making other aircraft?

Come time come plane.
Currently we have community projects like FlyByWireSim’s A32nx and if you follow their GitHub you’ll easily see what a metric crapton of work it actually is to provide a certain amount of functionality.
I remember the free community aircraft back in FSX - they were awesome work but the main “selling” point was to have another type of aircraft and not to have a nice chunk of functionality at the same time. Not for free, at least.

Answer is simple,
if you look at thread about FSX import, you can see that people try solve their own dream plane and didn’t think about others. There are few ‘developers’ here on Forum that do very good job but on other anomalies. Why MS/Asobo not included 737 type, is after very long history of MS FS strange…
why not a community project for the 737? or other aircraft. Project opensky did a great job at it

I remember a new team is working on 737 and it is very promising (at least visually).
