Does anyone have information on dates for new airliners?

I have seen threads on here regarding aircraft in development. I am interested in airliners at the moment. Does anyone have any firm dates on any upcoming releases either free or paid?

Thanks

Unfortunately , none of the major developers haven’t communicated specific release dates yet. This is quite normal practice with them as they do not want to be held to arbitrary time tables. You just have to be patient like the rest of us.

Thank you for the reply.

PMDG said end of august that the 737 would be available at the end of this month

I don’t think that is quite what they said. The post from aug 31st in their forum to me only says that they hoped to show it this month. But if the reveal of the DC-6 is anything to go by then the actual release shouldn’t be too far off (though i realize that too far here is highly subjective)

No developer has any “set in stone” release dates for any MSFS airliner in development. There are quite a few in the pipeline, everything from F-28’s, MD-80’s, 737’s, A320ceo/A330/340-600/A350/A380 and even the Concorde.

FWIW, I have read the following:
Concord - Targeted for EOY.
A380 (FlyByWire) - Targeted for EOY but not sure I believe this. Would love to see this however.
PMDG 737 - Was to have started beta testing in August but delayed due to SU5. As I understand they still expect the 737 to be ready by EOY.

All - The reason few new planes have been released, and that good quality Airliners have not is very simple. At least twice a month MS/Asobo release one WU and one SU. Each and every single update, breaks the core sim, which reslults in a patch issue. It’s very, very expensive to create a plane in the first place (because of the convulated code/process this one is written in), and then twice a month, patch said aircraft because something in an update brakes my plane. They are waiting until the sim core and most of the ATC/ILS/NAV systems logis is set and firm.

Additionally, DX-12 is coming out. No one, and I mean no one, knows how that is going to affect the core code of this game, again, waiting to see how that all comes together. Announcements, are just that letting audiance know this is coming, my bet, Any real study airliner from either QW or PMDG is going to be mid -2022 or even later. I will be wrong, but that is my guess.

CRJ, DC-6, A32NX?

This is kind of an overstatement. Sure, updates create some incompatibilities sometimes, but it’s nowhere near extremely difficult. I mean FBW had a day-one patch.

I can understand wanting some of the ILS bugs fixed, but ATC? NAV? “Study-level” airliners most often include a custom codebase for handling NAV functionality. ATC is not relevant to aircraft development.

Source?

DX12 Source: the Development Roadmap still shows 2021
And as there are only 2 sim Updates for 2021 it can be expected either in October or November.

No FBW clearly stated it will not be this year. The a380 will next middle of next year

They said new previews will come end of september. No release date.

They clearly said it will NOT be this year just a few days ago.

They confirmed it would not be ready for 2021

FWIW-Most of the real world fleet of A380, have been put into temporary storage because of COVID. Only about 7% of the total fleet (regardless of carrier) is flying. Some of them, have been mothballed, and some have been sent to various wrecking yards to be disassembled. In today’s world of lockdowns, restrictions, vaccine passports, the public aint munh into being packed in a small space with 300 other people, and flying around. Boeing annunced a while back end of life for 747. Many of the passenger ones have been dealt with as stated above, some converted to cargo, many just taken out of service. Youtube Video on last British Airways 747 flight, sad, flew on one of the very first ones in service KATL-KLAX in 1973.

When its done.

There are no fixed release dates but from what is known PMDG is to release next.

It could be perhaps as early as end of October (and most likely no later than Christmas).

@HXArdito Source please?

somewhere in the discord… i will not try to find the exact message between thousands of posts now for you. But i mean, its obvious that the wont finish a whole A380 in just a few months.

We are not targeting the A380 for any particular time and we have never given any dates for its release.
