There’s the option in the message window: request vector from controller, but click on it and nothing happens, what’s wrong?
It’s currently not working. I’ve just been vectoring myself on instead.

As mentioned, it doesn’t work in my experiences.
Even when ATC gives a vectors to final approach, I never get them.

Vectors to final has never worked from launch. Once you’re told to expect vectors, ATC essentially forgets about you unless you ask them for vectors constantly. That’s most definitely NOT how it should work.

It’s also quite annoying to hear “maintain current heading and altitude” when there are actually many turns and descends ahead

I think Asobo has made many breakthroughs with the graphics which is an essential strength for a gaming company. But on the aviation part including ATC there hasn’t been much improvement.
Or when you are 20 miles from arrival and they want you to climb to 24000!!

Or when you’re at flight levels, 10 miles out of your IAF, and ATC asks you to dive bomb down to 2000 ft…

You can kind of make it work if you just keep clicking on request vectors every few seconds. But they won’t tell you on their own, so it’s pretty useless and broken.
