Does the weight of the fuel on board determine how a plane handles in 2020 and 2024? Is this plane specific or sim wide?

TBH I’ve never really noticed any difference in actual performance in any of the aircraft, from small GA to the giant Airbus’ I fly, they all seem to do what I tell them. I do occasionally get “warnings” about weight in the more sophisticated models but I don’t tend to ask silly things either, such as a 747 off an aircraft carrier!
So my answer is I don’t believe so. But I’d be interested in a more technical answer too if anyone knows?
I’m going to test this a bit. I am concerned about some of the larger airliners not really wanted to slow down and land. I find myself pushing them down quite frequently. I am wondering if fuel load will improve approach handling.
I don’t think excess fuel load will make that much difference if landing is your problem. The most important part of landing is getting a stable approach at the correct speed with correct flap/power settings. My old flight instructors words come back to me - a good approach will almost always result in a good landing, a bad approach never will.
You feel it in the more underpowered planes. I have the 310R, and with it loaded to just under max gross weight and flying in tropical climates, it can be a real dog.
