Does it happen to you? (Fenix A320 performance)

When I am at a major airport (like Heathrow or Charles deGaulle) with the Fenix A320 my frame rates drop to about 8fps. With the same airport and same parameters with the PMDG 737 my frame rates are more than 25fps. and this even after the Fenix update.

Maybe search Youtube for “Fenix A320 performance fps” and watch one or more of the videos that result.

If you are genuinely searching for a way to improve your performance, this should help.

Thank you for the tip. I will do that.

Moved to #third-party-addon-discussion:aircraft which is more appropriate :+1:

I’ve also modified the title to include reference to Fenix, to make it easier for people to find your topic and help you troubleshoot.

Have you adjusted the display rendering settings in the Fenix app or tried moving the display rendering to the GPU? Those settings can be changed while in the sim.

Had to lower my lod and other a lot…

Is anyone else suffering from the TOD being like 30NM from your destination.

To be clear, I know what I am doing in the sense I know about the SID’s STARS, etc I use simbrief, I fly the Fenix without issue, and Have been hardcore siming since f2000. been flying study level Airbuses since FS2004, so I know more or less what is what.

I have done 3 flights in the FBWA320 since they added VNAV, but I have to always revert to Open Descent and do my own calculations even though ATC (Not MSFS ATC) has cleared me for the STAR. All the way points in the FMS seem to have the correct ALT as per the charts but the plane never makes it as the TOD Marker is way to close to the Airport.

Today for example I did ERHG-LECO looking on the progress page in the MCDU I was 75 NM from LECO at FL360 and the TOD marker was still another 40 miles in advance although the STAR had the correct alt for the IAF at 2800??

What’s wrong with it? Also no TCAS any more, it was there now its gone again?

when I do that I get the message: GPU Rendering is not recommended for single GPU systems. My graphics card is the Geforce RTX 2060

that’s just a warning, so it won’t stop you seeing if it might be the better option.

Yeah what they said. Ignore the warning and give it a try. In my own personal experience it seemed to help vs leaving it on the CPU. I think the real benefit is for folks who have integrated graphics on their CPU in addition to a bespoke GPU.

I am using 2060 too and I have another problem. When I am preparing at the gate I have a not bad framerate, but when I start to push back and taxi, the fps drops.Do you or dose anybody have the same proble to me?

I have the same card and I don’t experience the issue.

I have the same issue but in any airport. With PMDG i don’t the problem. I use an RX 5700 XT with Intel core I5 10400 F and 16 gb of RAM.

Yes. Fenix is unusable for me, like most everything in my sim. Terrible framerates no matter the setting or location. RTX2080 Super/Rift S.

Any time when turning. Any left to right visual motion is a slide show. Straight ahead it is not so noticeable.
