Most YouTube tutorial videos show it doesn’t, there are no FLARE and ROLLOUT features armed as the autopilot follows the ILS glideslope in approach mode. Then there’s this video which clearly shows the plane landing by itself, with FLARE and ROLLOUT active. Who’s right in this case?
Also, another question about the Dreamliner: how is it after the latest update? I’m seeing horror stories about the plane on this forum, albeit mostly old ones from last year. Is it flyable, does it work properly now?
I fly this pretty regularly and I do not believe there is auto-land implemented. Maybe in Aug 2020, which I don’t recall that being the case, but even the HEAVY mod doesn’t have auto-land functionality yet.
Certainly flyable, great visual model, decent level of fidelity.
Certainly nothing like the QualityWings 787 (which costs what, $80?)
I’ve flown it all over the world on 13+ hour flights. Once you get used to the limitations and have a decent mod like the Heavy installed, it’s actually good fun.
Just don’t expect a full fidelity PMDG/QW level craft and you’ll be good - also you’re paying something like $10 or so cause you get a bunch of things when you buy the Premium Editions.
If all you want is the 787, wait for the QW release.
Thanks. I play on Xbox so mods are out of the question in most cases. I just want the autopilot not to crash or do strange things mid-flight. If that’s reliable I’m fine with it.
