First, I’m generally a “purist” in the sense that I consider this a simulation and not a game, and I don’t use increased sim rate as a rule. Everything “True to Life” with exception of taxi ribbons - I can’t navigate on the ground AT ALL.
For “Frequent Flyer Miles” however, it is doomed from the start since you have to refuel mid flight (unless you can land somewhere along the way - haven’t tried). If you have to break the rules anyway, why not turn a 9 hour flight (747) into a 4 hour one? Thoughts?
Thanks!
Tim

you could also navigate on the ground by: going to drone camera UPWARDS until you get a birds eye view of the runways and taxiways, i find this better than taxi ribbons and . Pilots can access books and apps with birds eye views anyway of the airport and taxiways similar to the drone views.
you can make it as realistic as you choose , everyones different . personally I wouldnt skip any of the flight

Thanks for the feedback and I agree with you.
I have to say though, in this case I am going to miss 90% of the flight regardless. 35000ft, clear skies over seemingly endless ocean on autopilot will happen while I’m doing other things.
I’ll get my payback on the first Bush Trip activity. 9 hours in a Piper Cub VFR using the stopwatch and no autopilot. I completed the other two with no nav aid.
