is coming the xbox markertplane along with the Aviacion Espanola HA-200
Thanks for the info
In 2024 the flaps move asynchronuously (I don’t know about 2020, don’t have it installed anymore).
The right flap seems to move correctly, the left one moves differently.
Do the authors have any plans to add an option that’d integrate a GPS into the cockpit, or is this it?
I’d recommend emailing the team to ask. Their info can be found by clicking on their profile on Simmarket. It’s a hotmail address.
Mmmmh…why is the plane not available anymore, at least not on simmarket?
The Dornier Do 27 is now available again on SimMarket, as well as the Hispano Aviación HA‑200 / HA‑220.
Regards, Aviación Española
The Dornier Do 27 is now available in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace, both for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, on PC and Xbox.
Thank you very much for your interest and support.
Is there a way to download the manual if purchased from the marketplace ?
On the 2 landings i did the DO 27 lost all her engine oil ![]()
Very much interested in this product but I’m curious before purchasing if a 2024-native model is planned, and if so, will it support the MSFS 2024 Career mode?
Hi Thijs, thanks you so much for you interest.
To find the manual in the Marketplace versión, you just need to look incide the OFFICIAL folder of you simulator, under the aircraft’s directory.
If you find this a bit tricky or prefer a direct copy, dont worry: just send me an email ay aviacionespanola@hotmail.com and I will gladly send you the PDF manual directly
Hi, thank you for your interest in the DO 27.
Regarding your question about the career Mode. I do plan to make the aircraft native and fully support the career mode in the future. However, please keep in mind that this development will take some time and is not planed for the short term.
Whenever that native versión is ready, it will be a completely free update for everyone who already owns the plane.
Great news - I appreciate it! I’ll patiently await the updates and given the knowledge of a future update being free, I may pick up this version in the meantime.
Thank you!
Many thanks for giving us this nice plane. As fas as I can rememeber the flying club where I learned flying gliders 30+ years ago had one of these with the Luftwaffe painting. But I can only remember seeing it fly once, so it was not used regularily. But anyway when this came up here I knew I had to have it. ![]()
So, I´ve done some flights with this nice bird and noticed some Things, that were not mentioned Above, as far as I can see.
And as always this is not meant to be critique, but just a chance for the developer to fix things he might have missed while testing. The price is quite low so I know that I can´t expect a study level build with intricate simulated systems.
But I want to start with the pro´s: It´s really a nicely done. I also like the fact that some of the needles do jitter slightly. That seems quite real. And the view from the cockpit is really great. I thought that it would be great for low & slow sightseeing and I was not disappointed. To be honest, the first time I flew it, I thought it wouldn´t ascend fast, as the nose didn´t seem to be high and when I leveled of in cruise I thought the noise was pointing down. I really had to get customed to the good view. ![]()
Now to the things that I noticed and mostly bother me, roughly in order of annoyance (for me)…
- The OBS indication is off by some degrees for many parts of the range. I was wandering why my navigation was slightly off, and after some testing I discovered that simply the OBS dial doesn´t turn correctly / uniformly. I made some screenshots with the SimVar Watcher, see below. So currently I need the SimVar watcher to perform reliable navigation.
- The in-game ATC breaks when I request flight following and tune the given Squawk code manually. I really like the feature that instead of choosing the confirmation call in the ATC menue, that sets the Squawk automatically, you can confirm by setting the code manually (ATC then continues without your confirmation call). In this bird that doesn´t happen. And when I select the confirmation call the ATC options disappear for the rest of the flight.
- The ADF selection is a little unintuitive for my taste: The kHz- and 10 kHz-Change do not carry over to the 10 kHz and 100 kHz. I would expect that when e.g. 108 kHz is tuned and I turn the kHz knob three times to the right that I tune 111 kHz. Instead 101 kHz is tuned, as each digit only works in the one range.
- The heading pilot seems to follow the true heading and not the set one. As the autopilot can´t know the true heading of the aircraft, I think. I would assume it would simply turn the aircraft until the set heading is at the top of the dial. So when I turn the compass rose (normally to align with compass heading after gyro drift) it should turn accordingly. At least that´s how I understand these kind of instruments and autopilots.
- Turning the OBS knob via keyboard seems to be ignored by the virtual cockpit and mouse interaction (legacy function in my case). If I turn it via keyboard to a certain radial and then do just one click via mouse in the virtual cockpit it resets to 0 (or whichever radial was selected by mouse before).
- The plane “breaks” when the small ventilation windows is opened mid flight (or taken off with it open). I´m pretty sure the real plane doesn´t break when you open that window in flight. And I even assumed that it is there to get some more fresh air into the cockpit when flying in hot regions.
- On my first flights (until my MSFS settings were reset) the plane type on ATC calls was “Dornier Dornier”. After I lost my settings I just entered a register (and not a callsign) that was fixed, I think. Maybe some of these settings triggers this error.
- In the outside view the prop hub spins very slowly with the same rate as the blurry prop disk. It should also be completely blurry, of course.
- The clipboard always comes up in spanish. It would be a little more user friendly if it would remember the last used language…
- There are some errors/peculiarities in the cockpit (at least with the Luftwaffe livery):
- The tank gauge is in spanish (could be realistic, of course).
- The label at the Cabin ventilation control handle is the same as for Starter circuit breaker.
- The label at the navigation light fuse has some letters in the lower right corner.
- It is possible to fly the plane with locked controls. I´m aware that there are many sim pilots that fly very casual and would be annoyed if that would be the case, but I would like this kind of realism.
- At least with legacy cockpit interaction it is not possible to switch the tank selector to left at first. I can only switch it to right and then I can move it to left. And thats pretty strange as the only checklist item where the tank has to be selected is left, so it´s always the first selection needed.
In case it matters: I fly in FS2020.
An please don´t be mislead by the length of the list. I really have fun with this plane despite these quirks and little annoyances.
on the control lock thing. me and my friends were initially turned off on the plane not knowing it had it and in third person were wondering why the controls weren’t moving but it was flying like normal.
Hi TheMarvinX, thank you very much for your purchase, I hope you’re enjoying the aircraft. I also really appreciate your report: some of the points you mentioned were new to me, so I’ll be able to look into them when I get the chance. Others are conscious design decisions that, for overall balance, I prefer to keep as they are for now.
Regarding the windows, both the front and rear ones can be opened in flight if you enable the “Disable Aircraft Stress Damage” option in the simulator’s Assistance → Realism menu.
Thanks again for your interest and for taking the time to share your feedback.
Best regards,
Raúl
Would you also consider adding an autopilot and GTN750 compatibility? They’re massive quality of life improvements that I don’t think I can do without.
Hi Raúl,
I do enjoy the aircraft, no worries. And I think it rates very high in the “fun per buck” category.

I forgot to mention one thing: The dirt marks on the window are a great idea, generally. But as they are perfect circular and have a slight 3D feel for me (I use a head tracker and when the camera moves the marks look like flat disks briefly). So this one is mixed for me.
Of course it would be great it Microsoft/Asobo would integrate that idea, similar to the icing effect.
So I will look forward to any updates that are coming. ![]()
Best regards,
Wolfgang
Hi Raúl,
I had previously corresponded with you regarding your Do 27, a conversation that ended when you were no longer able to help me with my questions. I have now purchased the Do 27 again from Microsoft (having previously bought it from SimMarket)
I notice that the door frames for the pilot’s cockpit and the passenger entrance are missing from the aircraft model. How is that possible? I am also trying to create a repaint; I’ve almost succeeded, except for configuring the “texture.cfg” file. Could someone tell me what the “texture.cfg” needs to look like?
Best regards
Hans
