That’ll teach me for looking at photos on my iPhone and jumping to conclusions.
The double Bay Bridge is either SS3D SF or VFR objects SF. I have both mods installed and do get the double Bay Bridge. Haven’t taken the time yet to disable them and work out which one though but SS3D is most likely as a friend on PC also sees the double bridge and I don’t think he has the VFR Objects SF.
I believe this stems from not removing the satellite images. I see it as well with PG on an no add ons other than a couple liveries from flightsim.to, on close inspection it is obviously an asphat highway on the water surface.
I’m running Bijan’s enhancements and the San Francisco bridges aren’t right for me, as mentioned in my other post.
The Manhatten island bridges are also awful, with the exception of the Brooklyn Bridge up to the Queensboro Bridge, which must be Bijan’s excellent work.
Literally been on a Circle Line tour of the bridges IRL a couple of months ago so retraced the route in the sim, the bridges are truly awful.
I’m totally with you, it’s Asobos part to fix this. I use Bijans addon for a long time and it’s a nice to have . The Bridges are not perfekt, but at least the Satellite Overlays are not present there.
One of the more immersion breaking issues with bridges is even when a bridge is displaying properly, the traffic still drives underneath it at the surface level of the water. I cannot remember a time in this sim where this was not an issue. For me this happens with both default and addon-sceneries.
@Angeli662024: I mentioned above (Double bridges in San Francisco - #3 by DementedCorn327) I cannot replicate the issue but I now understand what you’ve reported.
The issue is different than the Golden Gate that had 2 bridges overlapping. Maybe for better clarity, update the title/description to something like: bridges in SF have their satellite image still displayed underneath (just a suggestion) ?.
Thanks, Ive tried to find something in the past but wasn’t having much luck, so I appreciate the nudge in the right direction. To be honest though, that thread started 5 years ago next month, so it’s probably worth noting that I shouldn’t spend a whole lot of time on it, it’s just not going to be fixed. Thanks again.
