Douglas DC-3 Tailwheel Tooltip only shows "OFF" when using Key Binding

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The tooltip for the tailwheel lever in the cockpit only shows “OFF” irrespective of position.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time in build 1.6.31.0. I cannot say if this is a regression in this build or is present in the current SU3 build (perhaps someone on SU3 who is reading this can check).

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. In Settings / Flight Interface, confirm that “Instrument Name Tooltips” and “Instrument Description Tooltips” are set to “Instant”.

  2. In free flight, select the DC-3, choose any parking spot at any airport, set time & weather to daytime & clear skies for convenience.

  3. Start the flight, switch to cockpit view and view the green tailwheel lever on the pedestal (pressing “4” on my keyboard shows this).

  4. Toggle the tailwheel on and off. Notice how the tooltip always shows the tailwheel as “OFF”. The tooltip text also does not change - it always shows “Set tail wheel lock on”

Both the lever and tailwheel function and operate correctly - the issue is just with the tooltip text.

FYI: Instrument Description Tooltips are only available for Cockpit Interaction system = Lock. They are greyed out for Cockpit Interaction system = Legacy.

Can reproduce only when using a toggle key. When using the mouse the label change between ON/OFF

Can replicate with a binding key and using the mouse.

Interesting - I was using the mouse when I took the two screenshots, so I don’t know why it works for you and not for me.

Using the mouse:

Maybe a difference between variants ?
I used this one:

I’m using the World Travel Livery.

I just tested again & now the tailwheel lock is now toggling between ON & OFF when using the mouse, but not when using the keyboard - so I’m now seeing the same as you.
I’m using the World Travel Livery.

So maybe you can update the title/description adding something like “only when using a key binding”.
