I’m puzzled. I had to reinstall from scratch - this is Premium Deluxe. When I installed it before it was about 180GB. Today it’s 81GB. This matters where I live (the 180GB download took nearly 24 hours)
My first thought was that it was the bug where you can ‘lose’ the extras, and I’d have to download it from the content manager. But there’s nothing unusual in there, liveries, airports, POI, the stuff that’s always there. All the PDX aircraft seem to be present.
Am I missing something here ? Will it download the scenery on demand or something ? Have Asobo collapsed lots of updates into one download ?
Because it’s a very complex piece of software there have been many patches and fixes. I would hazard a guess that the ‘old’ version downloaded the original and downloaded and applied the patches, while the new version has the patches already in. This would be no surprise - Windows does the same thing.

This means that there may well be not much difference between the two. But there might be, patches sometimes are a little problematic. If I am broadly correct then I wouldn’t reinstall unless you have a problematic installation.
