It should work yes, but somewhere something is going wrong for a number of users. (and it’s always the same users)
So there must be a bug somewhere, and this might be it?
So I guess we wait for someone who has the Steam version, and has installed it in a different folder and has no issues with this.
edit: perhaps we need to come up with a general debunk thread where we list all possibilities and people say whether they have no issues with the exact same case.
