how did you get the refund? I tried multiple times to refund, refused every thime even after stating very clearly that I cant get the game to download (tried everything on the web after almost 2 months)

I own the dvd’s version (I cannot even image if I need to download all the software). The problem is when I’m updating it. Just yesterday, with the last one (it was about 2.4 GB) I wasted 7 Gb to get it because, especially with the “big files” it stopped, wait please and start again to download…even when I reached 80 % of the file.
I’ve given up trying to download this, me and 4 friends all have same issue.
Luckily i was trying out via gamepass so only £5 down the drain, i feel for all those that have paid out and months later still can’t download the game.
They are going to loose alot of customers paid and future, as they are not really doing anything about it.
I plan to pick up 6-12 months time when its on sale and in a better shape, which is a shame as what little i did play was the basis of a fantastic product.

So you’re saying he has to buy the game again? LMAO. You’re also forgetting he will have to download updates.
Do a installation issue ticket, not a refund ticket itself. Explain what happened there and request the refund, as the steam support people can refund it for you. Then you won’t be instant denied by a bot.
I had Steam refuse a refund for this reason, however, once I asked at which point does their refund policy contravene consumer rights, the refund was made within hours. Worth a try as it is clearly broken and I could not download what I paid for.
I had same problem, but after 1.9.5, pre-download works, enter start screen after 2month install problem.
That totally makes sense. I’m also monitoring my network with various tools and the main ip I’m downloading from is giving good speeds without any vpn.
“MY OPINION” is it’s not connection problem, it’s trust. Every “single” file downloaded is being checked if it’s genuine or not. It’s not a basic hash check btw.
ALSO; The huge MICROSOFT can’t even lend the “torrent” delivery optimization subsystem it created to fasten things for his users for the product including the name Microsoft infront of it. yeap, bad sentence and few mssing comma’s etc, gonna check after some sleep but the message is clear. (i hope it is clear lmao)

2 months later they sent me an email that my bug report has been recieved! Victory!
I have a problem where I have to baby the installer because the download keeps stopping and i have to keep closing and reopening the downloader. Highly don’t recommend trying to download overnight.

On the previous update everything worked like a charme, with this one it started happening again, I have to switch to another xbox profile and it works. If I return to my profile it stops working.
What I notice is that the server drops the connection, I can see the download speed decreasing and then it starts again.
Is this on Game Pass?
In Xbox Game Bar, there you click the gear icon and log out from your current account and then you can log in with another account.
Everything’s fixed. Now I have a regular download, no interruptions, no wasting giga’s.
Same hear,5wks connecting and downloading reverts too 0% on the file downloading,over and over.120 quid down the drain!
this sole issue made me get x plane when i got tired of trying to download fs2020 when looking for an upgrade from FSX. just download it, go to bed, wake up you got your sim ready. not to mention a couple default planes are pretty detailed (less inop).
