Brief description of the issue:excessive increase of download volume when updating mandatory new version

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:Yesterday I was asked to download an update to version 1.15.7.0 when starting the app. The download volume was indicated as around 1.2 GB. Since my internet connection at home has limited volume I closed the app and started it again this morning in another place with a cable connection. To my surprise now 22.2 GB download volume were required. It all went well until the last files, when it started repeating the download of one file several times without success. I paused the download and closed the app, restarted the computer and opend the app again. Now it requires 88GB download volume! What’s next?

Because you interrupted the download a few times, the program misses it’s register link and can’t find the sim anymore. All you have to do is repoint the update screen to your install folder, and it should resume only downloading the missing files from the update

Apart from wasting my time by spending days updating because the speed is so variable, restarting .fspatch copies frequently is causing me problems for the rest of the month. Asobo and Microsoft have developed a terrible, terrible gas factory for updates and installations which I’m not sure they understand themselves and will probably never be able to fix. Take a look at the windows event log for the mess it logs there.
Many people, me included, have been complaining for months, nothing ever changes or improves.
