DRACO compression in MSFS 2020

Hello everybody. I don’t know if some MSFS/Asobo devs can read this topic.

I have a simple question: is an integration of the DRACO comression lib is planned in MSFS 2020 (GitHub - google/draco: Draco is a library for compressing and decompressing 3D geometric meshes and point clouds. It is intended to improve the storage and transmission of 3D graphics.) in order to lower the memory footprint of the meshes used by the sim ?

As for me, it will greatly help in some sceneries or situations where the number of meshes is important.

Hi, I’ve moved your topic into #community:general-discussion-feedback for further discussion.

A suggestion is to submit this to the team on Zendesk. A new ticket can be created by clicking the “Submit a Request” link here. You should then select “I want to share my feedback or request a new feature” from the “How can we help?” section and fill out the details.

You do not have to log in to Zendesk, but logging in allows you to easily track your tickets in the future.

Thanks!

Thks a lot for your reply
