Dramatically Varying Performance Between Sessions

I properly noticed this today. Has to be streaming related. Flew a 40 minute flight and landed, sim felt sluggish throughout and ground textures blurry. 30 fps average dropping to 25. Reloaded back to the same gate 2 hours later ground textures crisp 40 FPS average.

I’m still seeing this issue in the latest beta. Bit of a lottery at the moment whether you’re going to be able to fly or not.

Hello, i posted it in the general discussion about SU3, but a friendly user told me thaht it was related to this thread. :

Same problem here, when I left the runway my frames dropped dramaticly, when I took off the frames went back to normal. So in my case the problem only happens on ground.
I’m running amd fsr3 anti aliasing and frame gen mod, most setting on high, some on ultra.

r7 5800x3d
rtx3060
32gb ram

Exactly the same on my last session, got severe slutters every 3 seconds during the taxiing and take-off, after that FPS went back to normal
And same after landing it was slutter fest

This thread isn’t about dramatically varying performance within the same flight - what’s being described above (poor performance on the ground, good performance in the air) is typical even in a healthy sim if one has settings too high. There’s obviously more for the sim to process at an airport (more custom textures, objects, traffic, etc) so performance will always be lower there than when airborne.

If you believe it to be disproportionately poor-performing on the ground, that’s a separate issue entirely, but I don’t believe it to be related to this thread.

My experiences previously were that (for example) loading the same plane at the same airport in the same conditions would have great performance on Monday, and poor performance on Tuesday (or even by the hour within the same day). For the record, I have not observed this inconsistency in the last several SU3 beta builds.
