even with an outside view i sometimes get 60fps but its still a stuttering mess
Yes, it seems surprisingly slow considering my computer also meets the specs.
But I wish I could even take off.
Although both windows and FS recognize my joystick, I canāt get the FS to respond to any of the buttons.
I have it set it as default and saved it.
I am told to release the parking brake, so what is C + Num del?
I am using a desktop with a qwerty keyboard.
I have an I5 2500k @ 4.55 And an RX 480 8GB. I know itās old but it does the trick.
Iām also getting those lock ups where the dev tool says itās 12 FPS but in reality itās like 1 or 2 FPS. I will clear that bottleneck and Iām back to 30FPS on the longitude. This wasnāt a problem before.
I also notice itās not using all my ram only 6gb for some reason vram usage seems to be a little lower too.
For me those pauses can be as long as 20 seconds.
The times itās smooth it feels smoother than ever but the it suddenly locks up?
Tried the windows spatial sound thing and it didnāt work, the new ati drivers did it work either.
Forgot to add that my CPU usage was 75-90% with very ocasional 100% spikes.
What driver should I install? Just tried July 9th with no difference.
I tried it now (to the driver I used during the beta), but nothing has changed.
So then it has to be in the game build! what exactly has changed from the very last beta to release? Didnāt the give out "Release Version"s to press?
This may be other peopleās problems. I had vsync on and was getting a slideshow - 10 - 15 fps - on my RX 480. Then I turned vsync off and unlimited frames, and now Iām getting 30 fps at 1440p. Not too bad really.
Turn off vsynch on game Or on 3D Nvidia panel ??
good question! I only tried in game.
I found an odd suggestion from another forum regarding using an HDMI cable instead of a Display Port for your display. I did switch my cables, and although my i5 6600k is hitting at 100%, it did increase my frame rate from 10-15 (in cities and in the open) to getting 25-35 fps in large cities and 60-70fps out in the open. I hope this will help some of you.
What? Haha. How the hell does that even work!?
The stutters some of us are facing have nothing to do with FPS. I can get 30 or 50 FPS, it all looks the same. I think I speak for all with this problem when I say it doesnāt matter where, what aircraft, what graphics settings, Vsync, 60 FPS⦠it hiccups through the whole flight. Something is just wrong with the sim on OUR systems, but what?
EDIT: I fixed my stutters by ending the task lightingservice.exe, it was causing excessive use of the CPU.
I donāt even know. When I read the forum I didnāt even believe it since that fix just sounds ridiculous, but I was desperate to try anything. Although I wish for higher frame rate (constant 30+ in big cities would be amazing), at least the game for me now is playable.
I donāt get it, and Iām so confused⦠Now I look forward to some optimization patches down the road.
correct, i can get decent fps but the sim is a stuttering mess
Disabling GSync helps very slightly.
Cpu usage is so bad mine just overheated. I hope Asobo fixes this if not I will have to refund until I can build a monster pc or something. Such a shame :(.
I have the same issue with my i5-7600k. But I noticed that when I click on my second monitor and the game runs in the background it is all smooth with about 60 FPS on high. At the same moment I click in the game again it is stuttering as hell. So there must be something broken.
I think thatās just youāre FPS counter measuring youāre second screen, but unless you click out when there is motion on the game, you wonāt know.
What happens to your CPU usage when you click away from the simulator?
No itās not just the FPS counter. I have about these FPS all the time until it begins stuttering. I would be happy to have only 30 without this stuttering. Itās not like I rely on the FPS counter alone. You can see how it instantly becomes smooth when running in the background.
The cpu usage is still pretty high but not on 100%. Something between 80-90%. The Hotas is still working while doing that. So I can at least control the aircraft until I need to click something in the cockpit.
