Well only started yesterday, but here’s yet another youtube channel on watching simpilots over the shoulder.

With ProATC-X and Pacx.

And a special mention of @mhron during the initial approach.

I finally got some time to see it. A nice smooth flight (you definitely know what you’re doing) and I also love flying Norway and Scandinavia in general. I have that Orbx ENGM too, it’s great. And if you don’t have Stockholm Arlanda ESSA, get it, it’s a piece of art and perfect for airliner short hops to Oslo or Helsinki.

I didn’t know there’s this Simbrief panel, it looks handy as one doesn’t need to leave the flight sim to check OFP. And I’m also glad that I didn’t buy ProATC after all because I don’t like the voices, they sound too robotic to me. I’m waiting for BeyondATC.

Thanks a lot. I don’t really notice the robotic voices myself anymore, I suppose I did at first but eventually they just fade out. I must say that using the full SID/STAR, speed restricted and safety altitudes is quite the tradeout for those voices, but each to their liking of course

I was on vacation close to Montpellier Airport and shot this with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera

This is so cool! I designed an auto pilot panel to 3D print and brought most of the switches and that but hit a wall when trying to pull the electronics together.

How did you do the pcb boards?

You don’t have to do it with a PCB if that’s not your thing. Helps if you have a basic understanding of electronics though.

Well, it is a commonn double sided PCB making technique with photoresistive film and UV curing (if you are an electronic hobbiest).
You can order them manufactured pretty cheap btw.
Meanwhile, I have made a fascia:

The video of making this FGCP is in progress… But there would be no detailed instructions for making a PCB, because there are plenty of them on YouTube.

Will have to do some research as I have a couple products I’d love to use PCB boards on. I did look at getting some manufactured and they weren’t to badly priced

Looks really tidy with the new face. How did you do the writing so tidy on a 3D printed piece?

The faceplate is made with a laser engraver/cutter. It is somewhat possible to make it with a 3d printer, but 0.2 nozzle is recommended and a very good printer setup with a precise bed leveling, belt tension.

But it would be a pain to have a good “island” in "A"s. And more pain if you want to make it backlight compatible…

Did you laser engrave a 3D printed face or did you use a different material? I’m hoping I can directly laser engrave my 3D printed switch panel front

I was thinking little islands in the A and things would be the biggest problem when embossing words in the 3D design to print

I have engraved and cut it from a 3mm acrylic glass sheet. It is much easier to make engraving+cuts in one cutter job than position anything ready at the laser workspace.
Besides. fascia hides nuts which are unestetic
I mean all this:

They are irrelevant in VR, sure, but all these texts are also irrelevant.

It is not my intention to promote my own yt channel in through this thread as well as this perticular forum for i have not the intention to do videos on regular bases.
How ever it is fun to record some vids from the room i take my seat in the room where my cockpit is located.
Also in the sim there is a lot going on and altough i cannot fly at all with recording because my focus to sim and record with my tablet is most of the time mixed or messed one another up. Sometimes when looking back interresting things happen.
This is where i see some point where it is clear to me where problems in the sim are revealing to me,
Is there something to do about i would not no, but i like to see fellowsimmers opinion about it.
The video i like to share is one freeflight landing on isildafjor biis,
The flight is in a cessna 172 default pre WU15.
Now this setup is with 2 pc each with there own msfs licence and xbox account connect through Your Control.
The video are intentional without a minimum or no sound at all for i am not much of a talkative and music is well you can choose your own if you like.
Here is my link

The things i like to get atended to is around at 0:36 flaps up, 1:00 shadow on the plane, and 1:20 when flaps go down .
It is nice though to see on both pc the same and a stutter which i think has to do and i caused with change of plane state configuration revered to recalculation to keep the sim from running smooth all the time.
Please share opinion.

And thanks for watching

Finally getting some decent departure videos going. :innocent:
