So finally I got my new 24" monitor (2k) and am glad to say that there is no frame drop when popping out radio panels, maps etc onto the other monitor. There is a minor drop when I make them outside windows but it quickly recovers and goes back up to normal FPS. Strange issue but not for everyone.
