Dual vs. Single Rank RAM , Does it Matter for MSFS 2020 ?
I have 2x16 , 32gb , 3600MHz , of Crucial Ballistic on order that I though was Dual Rank .
Just read that this particular RAM is now being shipped as Single Rank .

Nothing to do with MSFS 2020.
The issue is whether it is compatible with your hardware. With DDR4 these days most motherboards can handle either and whilst there is theoretically an ever so slight performance hit with single rank it really does not matter.
(this was not the case in the past with DD3 and HP desktops which could not handle dual rank at all)
Basically if your MB boots with this ram OK and gives the right numbers in BIOS you are fine.
IMPORTANT - single/dual rank, single/dual sided and single/dual channel are 3 entirely different things. You are bound to have someone bounce in here at some point not read your original post properly, confuse single channel with single rank and give you a long irrelevant rave about how dual channel is far better. Your ram is single rank but will be dual channel providing you choose the correct physical slots for dual channel .
