Duluth: Home of Cirrus Design

Just a little flight around Duluth MN KDLH…where Cirrus aircraft are built and where I worked ATC for over a decade.

The Cirrus factory…which actually looks close to the real one

Looking NW, the small clearing in the trees is the munitions area for the F16s based on the field

Town of Gary New Duluth (another place I lived in between 1st and 2nd house) - and a good view of the St. Louis River

Looking west and the river is flowing down from Cloquet MN

I’ve seen view more than once in the real plane (and this nearly looks real!) - viewing Wisconsin - there’s a nice ski hill for winter sports - Mont Du Lac - maybe obscured by the low clouds

St Louis River is quite shallow in places…I’ve taken my kids to splash around in it

Great screenshots! I too am here, but in the south part of the state outside Rochester.

Great screenshots, Ryan! Some of those look like they’re from a Cirrus calendar shoot!
