Update: I unplugged the console for about a minute. That, together with deleting the addon, seemed to clear the problem.
I hate that i have to read a small book to figure this out. There is too much information to make problems easy to fix. IS there a solution to this or not!?

Thanks for your notes, but you really donāt explain how you āmodified those by hand to overcome UI issuesā in the wgs folders, or how to ID which ones to modify in the first place. I can find these folders, but have no idea how to modify them as you state in your post.

It has replaced/deleted/changed a lot of my peripheral options. e.g. Honeycomb Bravo - 2 Jet GA disappeared completely. I added it back but it doesnāt work. The options just hang and sometime crashes the sim. Virpil Peddles empty of options, not even default.
I couldnāt control a 172 with my Honeycomb Alpha even though it was setup with it in options but I could with a joystick that wasnāt in the 172 profile. I even done a system restore back to 10th Feb but that didnāt remove dune. Does anyone know what the content manager module for dune is so i can uninstall it? I searched Dune but nothing came up.
Itās not the only controller referenced that seems to have issues with this problem, but there does seem to be a lot of Honeycomb alpha/brava users who are specifically having this issue, as referenced previously Dune addon Atreises Ornithopter Corrupts Control Options - #8 by Sonicviz
Makes me wonder why. Could be lots of reasons (# of control bindings, driver issues++) but itās one area worth focusing on for Asobo perhaps, when trying to debug it, especially if itās consistently showing with a particular controller.
I wonder if there are any Honeycomb alpha/brava users who are NOT experiencing this?

Multiple times Iāve assigned my own controls for my Thrustmaster TCA Captains pack specifically for the ornithopter. I even created a new profile and gave it a new name. Resets to default every time I load in to any airport, so all the control options that i customized are back to the original settings.

I think this is a different issue from this thread, which is about ācorruptedā control presets.
The orthinopter is hard coded to automatically switch to the specifically provided control presets for it when you select it, which will override any custom ones you might try to create for it. Thatās not ideal either, but it is a different issue as this thread is about non-orthinopter control presets being changed automatically or ācorruptedā. Seems to be due to the new control bindings for the orthinopter being applied to existing control presets (which it would need to as a new base ācontrol presetā binding template) which then seems to adversely affect some types of controller presets more than others.

Well I tried it and it was interestng and different. But it has its own control presets and that gave me a big problem. When I went back to flying normal aircraft,
(1) it never told us it had set new presets of all input devices
(2) I was able to reset my stick, rudder pedals and throttle (all TM T1600) as well as the keyboard. But the mouse was left with dozens of new presets which wouldnāt go away.
So I had to manually delete all of them in batches and save several times - then with zero assignments to it I added back what it I profiled for it (basically just pointer plus zoom for inside/outsde views and grab/move plus zoom for maps.
After a long session plus sim restarts and loading hangs I uninstalled it.
(Intel i9, Ge-Force 2080Ti, 32Gb ram, Win10, SSDs, default sim install location Thrustmasterstick rudder throttle T1600,wired standard mouse)

Ornithopter / Dune add-on causing forced cockpit views and loss of screen pop outs.

I downloaded the Dune add on (Ornithopter) and subsequently lost all camera pre-sets for all other aircraft, and lost ability to pop out Cockpit panels. I subsequently deleted the Dune add on and I also checked my Controls profile. I noted that the Ornithopter control profile was still an option so I changed the control profile to another aircraft. Cockpit camera views fixed to my previous settings, but I have still lost the ability to pop out cockpit panels (e.g. FMC). Note: not using pop out manager, using Saitek yoke and the hat switch for changing cockpit views. Community folder empty.
Also, unable to delete the Ornithopter control profile using the Preset Manager.

This is literally the issue Iām having, so yes it directly related to the issue OP is having. Considering I made a NEW profile and it defaulted the custom profileās settings to the default ornithopters settings. To clarify, Iām not talking about how it defaults to the original hard coded profile, when I manually switch to MY CUSTOM profile for the ornithopter, all of my bindings have changed to the Ornithopters default controls.
This is now present FOR ALL of my custom profiles I had set for planes such as the Vulcan, B737NG/PMDG, single engine props, etc.

I cannot even log off of MSFS. It will take days to uninstall MSFS and all the MS addons and the other 30 addons purchased through the store.

Update completely removed my assistant options and is locked onto something called "rotocoptor and remapped all of my set controls.
Xbox X with keyboard/mouse, Xbox controller, Hotas flight controller.

My entire sim on Xbox X is whack. MSFS is all I have on my Xbox. This Dunes addon is totally absurd and I cannot find a fix. Where is the dev team? In the release notes it gives a website URL āflightsimulator.zendesk.comā for help but the site doesnāt exist.
Are there any updates to this bug?
I just tried making a profile again and now no control options work from either my Bravo or Alpha. So now my sim is not flyable.
An update from the team would be lovely right about now.

Exact same issue - I updated today and all of my control options were corrupted.

Similar problem here. At first everything worked - i.e. my keyboard binding to enter VR worked etc. Then I attempted to modify the ornithopter bindings and got a spinning wheel for ages. Eventually it woke up and I made some changes to the ornithopter bindings. Now my other presets seem to be corrupted and I canāt start VR as the keyboard bindings are now erased and I only get spinning wheel on bindings page.

Update on my issue of loosing the ability to pop out instrument windows after installing and using the Dune add on: It seems the add on changed my keyboard to a custom keyboard. Reverting my keyboard back to default then allowed me to pop out windows using the AltGr key + Left click.

First time on PC after Dune mandatory install. No marketplace installations performed. Controls not the same, some throttle quadrantsā individual setups wiped empty. Please advise how to restore. Control options menu loading times are exhaustingly long. What have you done now?
