DX11/12 option missing in VR graphics settings?

I know when DX12 first became available, the option to change between 11/12 was missing in the VR graphics settings, but that was fixed in a patch. I never paid much attention after that since DX12 didn’t work well for me in VR - but it came up during a group flight yesterday, and I discovered that the option to switch between renderers was no longer available in the VR graphics settings. Not sure if this happened with SU8 or what. Was this a documented change I missed?

as far as i’m aware, i’ve never noticed the option to be available in the vr settings, only in pc settings.

It’s never been in the VR settings. It’s a global setting, and only shown once in the PC grahics settings…once selected in the PC Graphics section it applies to both PC and VR graphics settings after a restart.

I swear it was added under the VR settings shortly after DX12 was released. I could be remembering wrong, as I haven’t looked for it in awhile.

Nope…DX12 has never been in VR settings. And the OpenXR tool kit does not support it yet.

Not sure what you mean.

OpenXR Toolkit does support DX12. Certain OpenXR Runtimes, such as the Varjo one, do not support DX12 at all.
