DX12 trouble

Guys! I need help to identify where is my fault?

I installed the latest drivers 517.48, after deleting the old ones via DDU.

When you turn on the DX12, artifacts start to float across the screen. As if the image is drawn in parts / squares. This is not the case in DX11.

P.S. If i turn VSYNC in game, problem is gone, but i dont want to turn VSYNC! It’s any another ways to fix this problem?

Did it do it with the studio driver?

If it fixes the problem, why would you not want to do that?

then dont use the DX12 (BETA) then… easy fix…

But I dont see artifacts in your video: the only thing I see is “Tearing” and that you can only avoid with

  • a) vsync on
    or
  • b) set a fps max limit which match you max monitor fps

Is may be DX12 faster than DX11 in your case ?

Yes what I see is also screen tearing. AFAIK you grabbed directly a video from the headset, so the problem is when using your Oculus headset right?
I’m asking as Vsync don’t appear in “VR” settings menu, it’s under the “PC” because it’s mean to only affect monitor users.
Are you saying Vsync for your monitor affect your view in headset? No pun intended, this was a bug MSFS had a long time ago when VR was first introduced in game, and was fixed after that.
If it’s back that’s pretty bad. Unfortunately I can’t test right now…

Edit: Ok, I see again your video on PC (not phone ;)) it’s on monitor, my bad.

But still: Vsync should not affect your VR experience at all.
