Wow this thread is something else there is no update today people unreal
Iāve been thinking on similar lines. A first real test of how they intend to approach issues after the honeymoon period. Will they acknowledge performance and other major concerns head on and give us a timeline for patches ? Or will they just brush such concerns under the carpet and talk about other things which are easier to sort.
For me, their approach here will indicate how open and honest they intend to be. They have a great opportunity to get everybody on their side. Failure to acknowledge major problems wonāt be a great start.
There are also no punctuation.
As i understand we get an update today and information about what to patch later.
So we have to wait another 1 month to get the patch? where the sim is full of bugs and crashes. Lesson learned never pre order ā ā ā ā .
Who said itās another month ?
May I ask how much RAM you have in your gaming machine?
Quite amusing and made me smile. Says a lot in a polite manner.
Mine have 32 GB
remember when we got the beta, asobo plainly stated it was the beta in the official communications, and half these forums said āno, its not beta, its still alphaā
Since people like to speculate, hereās my take: 2 weeks sprint, starting 20-8, so internal release 3-9. Internal testing/review 1 week = 10-9. Release date 14 or 15 September.
Or if you want to be realistic: Patience. Let the devs do their work and release it when they think itās complete.
Very bottom of the priority list for me, but even though thereās a community effort, there are zero liveries for the 152. Thatās the one that I want to have different colors on.
But bug fixes and game updates are way more important than that, so Iāll wait patiently.
You know you can limit the size of the paging file here:
(Sorry, screeny is on german)
You can reserve more space for the paging file as well and set it to a constant size.
Youād think big software developers would do this but not always. Call Of Duty regularly had updates of anywhere between 30 and 80gb on PC. Donāt think theyāve heard of delta patching.
Iām hoping this wonāt be the case with this game.
I have 16GB though I have tried 24GB with the same results. Just like increasing my pagefile the extra ram seemed to add more time before the crash but I canāt even be 100% certain about that. The length of time I get to play seems to be dependent on so many things. The plane I select, airport I depart from, city I fly over, graphic settings, and how I am flying all seem to influence the length of play. Oddly the dev mode monitor shows very low ram and vram usage. It seems much lower than reported everywhere else even when other apps using ram are taken in to account.
I R Baboon- this thread

Its been updates of 87-92 gig every update all the way through alpha and beta testing. Its been a little pain with these huge file downloads even though i have a very fast and high speed internet,
But i thought these major 80 Gig updates would go away to smaller patches after release to public out of beta testing.
Guess not!

My answer was limited to physical memory, understanding that was the question topic.
Thanks for explaining paging management, really appreciated.
The release date will be announced on the 27th, not the patch itself.
Oh really - thatās not what Iāve heard.
