ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

In a Career Mode Mission, the generated plan by the Career Module cannot be saved out to the Web, using Save To Web results in an Error. (Screencap attached)

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

Any career mission aircraft

  1. Load any Mission in Career
  2. Use EFB and confirm the randomly generated plan is active.
  3. Use the Save to Web function in the EFB and note the error displayed.

This needs more traction. Still occuring post SU2. A feature that fails constantly and one that would be very handy to see actually working.

  • Same behaviour with a manually entered plan

My guess is that this is happening because Career very frequently sends simmers to airports not in the database used by the web version of the flight planner. I guess a way to test this would be to try and manually recreate that flight on the web planner and see if it’s possible.

If it is and the error still occurs, just ignore me :sweat_smile:

When attempting to save a flight plan from the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) to the web/cloud, the operation fails with an error message. The flight plan does not upload or synchronize, leaving the save incomplete. This prevents sharing or re‑loading the plan later.

Steps to Reproduce:

Launch MSFS 2024 (PC, Windows).

Open the EFB in supported aircraft (e.g., ATR 42/72‑600 or Cessna 172 with EFB).

Create or load a flight plan.

Select the option Save to Web.

Observe error message: flight plan fails to save/upload.

Expected Behavior: Flight plan should save successfully to the web/cloud, allowing later retrieval or sharing.

Actual Behavior: Save attempt fails with error. Flight plan is not stored online.

Impact:

Prevents use of EFB web save feature.

Blocks workflow for pilots relying on cloud‑stored flight plans.

Requires manual re‑entry of flight plans.

System Details:

Platform: MSFS 2024 (PC, Windows)

Aircraft: Saab 340b (and other EFB‑equipped aircraft)

Mode: Free Flight / Career Mode

Reproducibility: Consistent (every attempt tested)

I can’t save ANY flight plan to web, even in free flight. I’ve given up - it’s 100%.

STILL cannot save a single flight plan and STILL no answers on why???

Seems like a local issue as I’ve not had any issues and if it were everyone this thread would be much more active.

Have you cleared saved data/cache in your browser?

STILL unable to save ANY flight plan to the web from the in-game EFB. Can do so fine using the web flight planner but not in game. All search points back to ‘known bug still not fixed’…

I don’t think this bug is universal - are you able to save in free flight but not in career, or unable to save anywhere?

Same problem here can’t even save as PLN as it is greyed out….

Same issue here, “Save to web” does not work at all. “Error while saving flight plan”
(“Save as PLN file”→”Save to this PC” works fortunate)

How many flight plans have you already saved ?. The online flight planner has a limit is 100 FP to be saved on the web. Could it be the same issue with the in sim EFB ?

For me its 2 - I have 2 plans saved on planner.flightsimulator.com - so I doubt thats the reason :slight_smile:

I have 3 flight plans saved - don’t remember when or how. But now 100% of time gives me the Error and won’t save using the EFB in the game. I have completely given up using it for saving plans. Also has been this way as long as I can remember using 2024…

same here, save to pln greyed, and save to web doesn’t works at all. And a saved flightplan in the flight planner, that I’ve never flown…

I guess maybe not in career? The button to save as a PLN isn’t clickable for me when in career mode.
