EFB Import icon to Load or Save a Flight Plan can only be clicked once. It used to work

Display the EFB.
Click Import and Load a Flight Plan.

Clicking the Import icon does nothing now.
It will not display the following screen.

Also, If you load a Flight Plan and make changes, you cannot then save it.

To get the icon to respond requires a “Quit to Desktop” of FS2024 and run it again.

Hmm. I can’t repro on my PC. I’ve been opening and saving plans from the EFB in .16 without a problem.

I can open or save a Plan with the EFB Import once.
But can’t a 2nd time. ( it did previously)

This is what happens:

1. Start FS2024.

2. Display the EFB.

3. Click Import and click Load Plan File.
   The flight Plan will load.

4. Click Import and click Load Plan File.
   Nothing happens.
   It does not display the following screen.

Cannot replicate neither.
I have created a flight plan and saved it to my pc.
Then clicking on “load pln file”, the window shows up with the list of options and I can repeat those steps without any issue.

1. Uninstalled FS2024 via Windows FS2024 app.
2. Formatted D: before the install.
3. New Install to D: via MS Store.
4. Start FS2024.
5. Created new Plan on the EFB screen.
   KJFK 31R to KEWR 22R IFR.
   Import does nothing when I try to save the Plan.

Although I’ve done it many times before,
I must be doing something wrong.

Maybe someone can help.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The options “LOAD PLN FILE” and “SAVE AS PLN FILE” only work ONCE after a fresh start of the sim and won’t have any effect when invoked again thereafter i.e. the pop-up “Load / Save Flight Plan Files” will no longer appear.

1. Start a flight
2. Open EFB
3. Select Flight Planner
4. Click on the folder icon (Import)
5. Select “LOAD PLN FILE” from the dropdown list
6. Pop-up “Load / Save Flight Plan Files” appears
7. Click CANCEL
8. Repeat steps 4 + 5
9. Pop-up “Load / Save Flight Plan Files” no longer appears

Restart did not solve this for me (it only makes it work the first time).

It’s 100% reproducible with 1.6.21.0.

Just tried it.
It works for me as many times as I want.

It did used to not work but started working again for me.
And I did nothing to make it work again.

So, I guessed it was a Restart of the PC that fixed it.
But, it might have not been a problem of mine.

Before when it was not working, I could click the Import icon
and nothing would happen.

Well, here I am multiple reboots later and the alleged “solution” is not working for me.

I guess all I can do is wait until the problem magically fixes itself then

I don’t know what you have tried but I think either a re-install of FS2024 or re-install of Windows 11 must have fixed it for me.

1. Re-install of FS2024 is easy and quick.
   Save Community folder.
   Uninstall via Settings, apps, Installed apps, FS2024 & Uninstall.
   Install via MS Store.
   If you have only FS2024 on another drive, format the drive before you install it again.

2. In-place re-install of Windows 11 via Settings, System, Recovery, & Fix problems using Windows update.
   Clean re-install of Windows 11 and takes around 40 minutes.
   Saves your personal data and files.

I think the problem is local to your PC and not something that Asobo/MS can or will fix for you.

I have same problem. reinstall is not way out in my case.
