Can you provide steps to replicate? This is not something I’ve experienced or heard from others, unless I’m misunderstanding your issue.
Respectfully, are you representing Asobo or Microsoft when you assert that they “are unable to fix” this logged bug? Has this issue been resolved, or otherwise released, despite its current “bug-logged” Status? I do appreciate your efforts at assistance, but I am confused if it is coming from a user or a dev.
Good point and question - nope, I’m a fellow user but have seen instances in this thread where moderators and community managers have identified that the issue is resolved so long as you use the default preset or a new preset based on the default. Given that, I’m not sure why it hasn’t been marked as resolved, which is another good question.
Being a fellow user, I’m just trying to avoid others in my community from suffering for no reason with this “bug” when there’s a simple and permanent fix (not even a workaround, in my opinion) right there for them.
This is akin to if a bug were caused by a corrupt file on your system and the developers identified the fix as “just reinstall” and people resist, waiting instead for the developers to (somehow) fix the issue on their local system. Since the bug here lives inside individual user’s unique control preset which lives in the cloud, it doesn’t seem manageable for anyone to fix it. The “reinstall” is the way, as far as I (a user) see it.

If it is still true that it is the profile being created prior to SU2 is the issue, has anyone found an easy way to rebuild profile?
- Copy the current default profile (only for “General controls” - “Aircraft” and “Specific” can remain untouched)
- Make the changes you wish to make it your new custom profile
