I had this at Stansted once. Try deleting your Scenery Indexes, this solved it for me.

All of your scenery.dat files can be deleted. Like the content.xml file, they will be replaced the next time you start MSFS. For the MS Store version, they are here:

\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

Just delete the files, not the folder.

I can see a wing in your photo!

This looks like you might have a 3rd party airport texture mod active? I don’t have that grid apron that you do.

No third-party airport on my system. Just the WU updates and the Cities update.

I have Zinertek-Enhanced airport graphics install. I removed it and again, I have no wings visible. Have you downloaded the WU update and installed it?

I have installed the update and this is a fresh install of MSFS into a fresh install of W11, so not sure why I’m not seeing the darker green grass that Asobo use at airports to hide the underlying Bing photo ground textures. Not sure where to go from here. I’ve removed the .dat files but still am not seeing the updated textures. Maybe I’ll have to reinstall WUXVII and see if that fixes it, thanks.

This is what I can see. Same as you but no ‘hide the planes’ - green grass textures…

I fixed it! Thanks for your help. I had removed some .tin files which are part of the photogrammetry files, trying to solve some elevation issues on a taxiway and replacing them added back in the masks at EGLL too.

Nothing to see here, I can stop fiddling now and get back to flying

Update MSFS 2024 (SU2 Beta)

This is happening again in MSFS 2024 (clean install). Removing the .dat files in the SceneryIndex folder does NOT fix this bug.

Photogrammetry is OFF and, as everything is streamed in MSFS 2024, the .tin files that apply the masks are NOT being used.

I do not want to be forced to turn PG ON just so that my airports show the correct terrain masks.
Asobo, please fix this!
