I find the EFB a fantastic tool, but I can’t find a way to remain signed-in from flight to flight. For some reason, as I’m typing my username, I end up in an external view that I can’t find a way out of. I always have to restart, and then I find myself signed-in. Any suggestions to avoid this problem? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I assume you are referring to the FBW A320NX aircraft.
Typing your simbrief id into the EFB directly will trigger various actions depending on what those characters in your id are bound to which actions.
One option is to open the pop-up window (right alt + click on the EFB screen), then type into the pop-up window.
As far as I know, there is no way to.
Another solution to the problem you describe (typing actually triggers aircraft controls, for instance, it turns on the lights for me lol), is to have your username written on the notepad and simply copy it and then paste it on the EFB with CTRL+V.
Create a blank profile for your keyboard, except to bind the ESC button to access the pause menu. That should make your keyboard not giving command inputs as you type.
