Encouraging statement from airport developer Fly2High

Just posted on their social media:

“Hello everyone, the team here at Fly2High here.
I’m going to try to keep this short as possible without making you read an entire book, but we at F2H are going to try to be as transparent with the community as we possibly can to get everyone informed on the same page.
So, back in 2024, we welcomed a X-Plane community member on the team, named as Lee Miles, he came to the team and was asking to convert our products to X-Plane, and we let that happen. He told us his goal was to help F2H become a better company, help with quality assurance, quality control, and such like that for both XP and MSFS 2020/2024. He’s been a huge help to the team, helping with suggestions, improving quality, asking to try new things for our products to make them better and it worked. However, he needed help and couldn’t do it alone.
During that time, F2H was in a community hole, as of LOD issues, performance issues, weird bugs, weird artifacts, AFCAD (Missing ILS, SID/STARS) mess ups, and so much more. There’s so much that we’ve learned the past year that we are now applying to the products. KRVS and KDTS was a test and it worked well, but that’s a later story.
A couple months ago, we welcomed two people on the team to help, Ashton and Phill. Ashton is our representative, doing quality control and he’s our GSX developer here at F2H. Phill is also our quality control guy and helps Ashton, so basically his assistant.
With all these new people coming on board, it has allowed us at Fly2High to focus on quality, let certain people do certain things to focus on the quality of our products instead of the quantity. With our new app coming called “Fly2Manager”, credits to Ashton for making that, HPN and a couple major projects coming this year that we are not announcing until it’s release time, we like to thank you all for the support.
We are very sorry that in the past, we’ve had many issues, but here at Fly2High, we notice these issues, we as a team want to be that developer that everyone wants us to be, so cheers to everyone. We are ready to be the team you want, and we will do whatever it takes to be the team you want. We got the help we needed, we got the mindset we need to make the best projects we possibly can. Thank you for all the support, and we are working on all the fixes we need to make these airports the best airport we can. We don’t want to make the community feel ignored during issues, we don’t want the community to feel like we don’t care, I can assure you, we do care, we do want your support, we just needed the team that we have now to do so.
So here’s to 2026, it’ll be a great year here at F2H, keep coming for updates and if you have any questions, suggestions, or anything at all, please comment down below and we will answer to the best of your ability.”

I always liked their modelling/texturing but their scenery was very buggy. Good to hear they’re serious about cleaning up their act and if this all comes to pass, there are a few from the current catalogue I’m very interested in.

Never bought their products. Let’s see what comes out of that

Maybe start with disappearing jetways at Ktul.

I didn’t realise Tweed already had its navaids introduced in the last update. This is easily their best airport so far and is actually really nice. Even better now it’s complete!

I just picked up kdts from orbx.

I have to say 5 star.

Would love to see fly2high do ksus in st. Louis, mo.

Yes, this is supposedly one of the ‘new generation’ that gets everything right. But I’ll reserve judgement till they do a bigger airport to the same standard. No reason to believe it won’t happen but…

I picked up KRVS, Tulsa Riverside and overall it wasn’t bad. I wanted something for the FSReborn Phenom 300. A few things but no glaring issues like we’ve seen with some of their other products. Hoping they’ll do KCHO.

I’ve picked up LYBE from them. On the graphis side it’s overal ok. Initially it was really poorly optimized but over time they somewhat improved on it so now it’s in better state.

But it’s still missing AFCAD data in MSFS 2024 (in 2020 they are present), so any plane using default data won’t have them available. I’ve sent them email two months ago but sadly never got any reply. Hopefully they fix it at some point, because now it’s really a major downside for it since you can’t even load any arrival or approach.

Their three latest 2024-native airports (KTUL, KHVN, KHPN) are now available at Contrail. Given Contrail’s high bar for quality, their choice to host Fly2 is revealing.

Eagerly waiting for the next update to fix the lighting issue they’ve stumbled across with some of the recent updates. Sounds like they may have figured out the issue and just need to implement the fix.
