Engine malfuction for arial firefighting - extended attack Tutorial mission

Description of the issue:
I did my 10 arial firefighting missions finally. Then I unlocked the LA extended attack tutorial mission. As soon as I get to the fire my plane says “engine malfuction”. This will then lead to the plane not taking off again after scooping making the mission impossible to complete.
First time I got a red ! that I should repair my freelancer firefighting plane (which I did) Restarted sim but still the engine malfuction happens again.

  • I dont use any addons

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

  2. take off
  3. fly to fire

• Very similar issue, I can get to the fire and complete the first drop, after scooping water I get the engine malfunction as described by OP

I noticed this in the air tractor flying agricultural missions and it stopped happening when I stopped running the engine at/above torque redline.

I don’t believe this is a bug, but rather simulated engine wear in the career. Are you full throttling the engine all the time? If you venture outside of the green on torque, rpm, and/or ITT for too long, you’ll cause engine damage.

Thanks for the responses. It is in career yes but please read. Its in the tutorial mission. Once it was close to the fire once at take off after I repaired my owned (different plane type entirely).

And if its not a bug why does it happen only to this plane? because I run mostly all planes at 100% throttle for most of the flights. And in this mission (tutorial) which is I assume complete new plane it happens after max 3min flight time?

If A Plane cant handle 5min at max throttle then the engine needs to be redesigned. What is this building a car with 6 gears and if you put it in 6 it explodes?
