If I have the aircraft engine(s) running and I press Esc to pause and go to the options menu, then return to the sim from the options menu, the aircraft engine(s) shutdown as soon as I return to the sim.
Does anyone see this happening with the 1.10.7 update? I didn’t have this issue before the update.
I have had this issue too when using the CJ4. I thought it was due to the mod but can’t find anything on their issue forum relating to this.
Now that we have Update #6 with v1.10.11.0, I did a test of every aircraft sitting on the runway ready for takeoff and then pressing Esc to go to the Options menu. Returning to the sim by pressing Esc again, the aircraft marked “Yes” will shutdown their engines:
No A320
Yes Pitts
No B747
Yes XCub
Yes TBM 930
No DA40
No DA62
Yes Extra
No CTSL
Yes A5
No VL-3
Yes Cap10
Yes DR400
Yes Bonanza
Yes King Air
Yes C152
Yes C172
Yes C208
Yes CJ4
No Savage Cub
This makes it very difficult to be in mid-flight and jump to the General, Assistance, or Controllers menu to make an adjustment and then return to the sim (unless you are flying an unaffected aircraft). This is simply the pause (Esc) and not active pause.
I’ve filed a report with Zendesk but I am interested to know if anyone else is seeing this bug and can confirm the same aircraft are affected.
This test was conducted with no community addons.
I also have this problem with the TBM 930. I also have no outside addons.
2 years worth of updates and this is still happening…any sign of a fix?
Still happening with some planes… Hawk T1 here.
I resolved most of the shutdown issues by checking my control mappings.
This still happens a lot especially with the ini A310 - so frustrating when you want to quickly change something and you have spent an hour or so in preflight and departure.
I also almost always suffer from this issue on different aircraft. Lastly with the Kodiak on Xbox.
What keybindings would possibly result in this behavior?
It’s a nightmare. Usually the aircraft is still setup, except of trim. Sometimes stall and crash due to this. Also sometimes need to start the engines again.
