Is there a way to manually enter an ILS frequency into the FMC without telling it to use a particular STAR? If so, what format does it have to be entered in?
Select the NAV RAD button on the FMC I believe. And I think it’s xxx.yy format for the freq.
I can’t remember if you need to enter the course separately
I had selected the nav rad button, I know where to enter it, but whatever I typed in it wouldn’t accept. Just putting in 108.35 or whatever didn’t work.
Ah, might be the format is identifier/frequency.
If you don’t include the identifier, you still might need the preceding slash.

Define identifier.
An ILS has a three or four character identifier code.
None of these are working.
Right I have sussed it, it’s frequency/course, e.g. 109.30/045.
