I’m trying to get all the Certifications in MS FS 2024. I have 16. Next up is “Airline Transport Pilot License - Rotorcraft”, using the Erickson AirCrane.
I fly thru the certification route; I land at the airport. I taxi to the Hold-Short. I then taxi to the parking spot. No problems, no error messages. I stop in the Parking spot, and Collective is at minimum power. I’m prompted to set the parking brake, and to shut off the engine. I do both: the prompts in the upper-right both turn green, so it recognized by engine shut-off. The rotor keeps spinning, and the engine sound does not change. After about 5 or 10 seconds the helo rises up into the air as if I set the collective to maximum power. It goes a couple hundred feed up into the sky; after about 30 seconds, I can reduce power and finally able to return to the ground at the parking space. But the certification will not finish/complete. I end up having to Abort or Restart the certification. I’ve tried it four times, and cannot get the certificate.
I do not Skip any Phases; I do not use SimRate; I have no helo Assists enabled.
Any ideas why the engine is not shutting down? and why the helo is lifiting off into the sky when I’m at the Parking spot and the Collective is at minimum power?

That thing is impossible to fly… tail rotor is out of control and the assistance for the tail rotor does nothing on this helicopter… it’s easier for me to bind the rudder controls so the pedals move back to center on there own for this helicopter… also I have the same problem with all the helicopters landing onto helipads or the refueling trucks… you get close then all of a sudden your flying back into the air… needs work
same issue here also in career mode the landing gear is always broken by $472 000 just don’t repair it but if this bug happens you have too if you don’t abort the mission fast enough i have the collective set to 0% i turn the fuel pumps off i apply the rotor brake all this seems to aggravate the situation. and just hitting the shutdown and doing nothing leaves you in a eternal LIMBO …
found a work round DONT USE SHUTDOWN command, manually shut the heli down with the 2 leavers top center of cockpit,click on them then right click on them and move them into the upright position this shuts it down without the throttle automatically launching you.
